I have used a Trezor and multiful Ledger nanos. Then found Xumm by Wietse Wind. After years, I am still freshly amazed how superior this Xumm wallet is and the support team is. Hands down, the best of the best - they are so quick, helpful, patient, and kind. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🙏👍 (Update Apr 2023) I received a gift Nft for participating to a beta test. After a while, I wanted to delete it but no idea how. I contacted support in xumm app. Will asked to a dev to take care of it and gave me updates over the several weeks. Yesterday, he messaged me to try their new feature to burn nfts and I was the first person to use it. The gifted nft is now gone. Xumm support has been always great but this left me speechless. Only people who genuinely love what they do can achieve this level of work. ❤️❤️❤️
XUMM has done for XRP what virtually no other non-custodial wallet has done for any other cryptocurrency. 1). First, let’s talk about the Ui: the XUMM Ui is intuitive, clean, and fast. Design is such an integral factor, when launching an app like this, and it’s apparent they really invested a lot of time & energy into getting this right.2). The Ux: the user experience is , again, intuitive, and ultimately a pleasure. When I use any kind of app, (especially something managing finances), being able to accomplish all I need through the app is integral to a great user experience. XUMM’s non-custodial digits wallet really manages to encompass the kind of user experience that you can depend on, without issue.3). Ok, let’s talk about fees for a second, because I know some people may not fully comprehend the fees affiliated: ultimately, XUMM has invested a ton of time, money, and energy into building this non-custodial digital wallet for XRP holders. But like any multifaceted, digital, non-custodial wallet, fees are going to be a part of the experience. There’s no way around that. However, the fees affiliated with XUMM are to deter bad actors from exploiting the XRPL (the XRP Ledger). But let’s be honest, the fees are small & nominal. Especially compared to gas fees for Ethereum. Without XUMM, the XRP community would be in dire straits. And the XUMM team isn’t exploiting this. They’re actually sympathetic to the plight of how XRP holders are getting treated. We should show our appreciation by being patient, supportive, and empathic. Thanks XUMM team!
I’ve used XUMM since before the recent XRPL token explosion, which caused even the mighty XRP ledger to falter under the weight of transactions and prompted XRPL Labs and XUMM founders to create a way for users to add value and capacity to the ledger by hosting nodes. In my mind, XUMM is by far the best way to interact with the XRPL and best place to store your XRP and XRPL tokens, outside of cold storage. The app is clean and chic and intuitive. The account worth feature is a godsend and more xdApps are showing up every day. The interaction with the built-in dex is way smoother than doing it yourself, is very user friendly, and requires no coding experience. XUMM’s plans for the future are also innovative and trendsetting—the idea of a one stop shop for the XRPL is amazing. This will include bank-like accounts and payments, a fiat on-ramp, and more. To conclude, my experience with XUMM has been excellent. It’s not XUMMs fault that the fees went up (marginally and still WAYY lower than most chains) during the XRPL token explosion on trustlines. It’s not XUMMs fault that you had to wait for transaction confirmation or that you didn’t receive your coins (probably the central exchanges fault). Bottom line: if you hold XRP, you should use XUMM.
