My Armory

I love this app, and free. It is very customizable. The export to pdf is great. I used this to create an inventory before I had major surgery. Wife wanted something on paper, so I saved it as a PDF and printed it for her. It’s great but nothing is ever perfect, I have a few things on my wishlist. 1. Add a airgun category. I have a significant collection of them. I prefer to keep them separated a from the firearms. I do it now by adding “AG” to the beginning of the name which puts them at the front of the list. This will work fine until I buy a gun that doesn’t work alphabetically. A new category would also allow for more appropriate detail information. i.e. CO2, spring piston, etc. 2. Add some additional PDF options such as sort order, filtering, picture size, etc. 3. As others have mentioned, device syncing would be awesome. I would be particularly interested in a desktop version that would sync to the phone. I realize this is a big ask. Mainly want to suggest it because creating the database on a phone is daunting.

So I adore this. Much cleaner then existing options, locally stored, and easy to import data into. My feedback so far: - Add more comprehensive reporting. Ex: Be able to export all firearms and their last uses, cleaning dates, etc. - On PDF generation, use space more efficiently. Why does every firearm need its own page? Images? Etc. - Allow users to set tags with hexcodes instead of a drag system that makes it hard to repeat colors. - Minor bug: White tags should use black text so the text is visible. - Maybe allow users to save favorite documents/firearms to the home screen for easy access. Really, just allow more homescreen customization. - Let us customize the color scheme! Some may like the blue, others prefer red, and some may choose to rock the pink. Anywho, let us pick! - When a user taps an address, let us open it in apple maps instead of the Google Maps website if we don’t want to install Google Maps. This app is fantastic. It is incredibly capable, data automatically updating firearms and ammunition with range visits is my favorite feature. There is a lot to love, and the team is killing it. I hope some or all of my suggestions get implemented, and I would love to hear developer feedback. I can’t wait for the windows version!

I love when someone provides something for free to support their passion. In today’s world, gun owners are often overlooked, but this app provides a great service to those of us who want to be responsible with our weapons. Inventory is critical. One complaint is merely a personal pet peeve of mine, but I’ll mention it anyway. I’m a firm believer in grammar, and menu options should be capitalized. It just looks better and more professional. For example, “Cold steel” should be “Cold Steel”. For some reason, these things drive me crazy. LOL But this truly is a great app, and being free is icing on the cake. If you’d like to add a donate button in the about section, I (and certainly others) wouldn’t mind buying the developer a coffee. 👍
