The app worked alright when I first got it after installing my dash cam 2 years ago. But over the past year it started prompting to erase the SD card AND resetting the date/time every time it boots, so I have to connect my phone to the device to sync the time so I have legally viable timestamps. In the past couple weeks the app crashes every time I open it, despite rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app, so it is now completely useless instead of highly irritating.

The app increases the ease of using the dashcam. Once the dashcam is up and installed, the app takes full control of the cam. Connection via wifi in automatic and instantaneous. While the wifi link is still active, the actual control subroutine can be broken and reactivated with one touch. There are 3x as many control points from the app as directly on the dashcam. The geographic mapping and logging was tested multiple times - worked. Downside is once vid or pic is downloaded from the cam (one-touch), it can only be viewed from the app. Recommended.

I really liked the functionality of the app and how you can control all of your preferences and where/how your files are stored rather easily. i had experienced a few issues where connecting to the network for it was tricky, but nothing major. I wanted to grab some footage from my drive, and every time I tried to open the app, it immediately force-closed. I tried closing in background & opening it again, same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still crashing. Very frustrated by this, and there has been no software update in at least a year.
