Means TV

Having a fully worker owned leftist streaming service is a great idea! Means TV seems to be slowly expanding their catalogue of creators. Some of my favorite left creators have a presence here. Means Morning News is always a good watch. For Apple TV users, the app is functional, but not without its flaws and bugs. If you have multiple devices, you may have to sign in when you switch, but the app won’t let you play a video without restarting the app. This wouldn’t be a problem if the app would return you to where you left off. The app is also a little slow on older Apple TVs. There are quality of life improvements they can make, such as showing only subscribed creators, marking watched videos, and allowing users to turn off auto-play. A UI refresh to make it more efficient and easier to navigate would be welcomed.

There is a bug in the IOS app that occurs when attempting to watch content in Picture in Picture view. Once the screen is minimized it disappears leaving only audio playing. If I return to the app it doesn’t show that I’m watching anything yet the audio is still playing. If I click on the same content again it reloads playing both the audio from the previously minimized content and the newly reloaded content. Overall I love the platform I look forward to seeing it grow and hope to be able to contribute to it through my subscription for a long time.

Since a lot of the website is educational material, consider adding a 2x, 3x speed feature! Also, some lighthearted content that isn’t rabidly political, but has the backbone philosophy, would be AMAZING. A socialist kids’ program? A socialist cooking class at a commune? Social Ecologist home renovations into local and bountiful plant life? Meditation courses/shows? Cartoons (or perhaps just dubbed/panned comics) about a socialist utopian future? And something similar to what you have now: Perhaps consider adding a book review series that summarizes critical books on theory. Casuals and militants would both appreciate easy and approachable information
