STRIKE: Buy & Hold Bitcoin

Great app, with a solid user experience. Customer support is very fast to reply to tickets. The stuff like the paying bills or gift cards in the app is cool, but the main reason I am going to continue using strike and not any other major exchange, on-ramp platform, or overpriced crypto exchange feature that all the fiat digital payment platforms have now is that the total cost from fees to get the money in my bank account exchanged for crypto is the lowest i would expect to be possible. I like that I can deposit from my bank account directly for no additional fees, and then I can buy ~$100 worth of bitcoin from my strike balance with total fees being $0.86 at the highest so far. It is also great that I can send to my custodial wallets immediately as other platforms will hold the coins on the platform for a week if you use the bank transfer payment option. My one mild issue has been that to use the bank transfer payment, I have to remove the payment method from my strike account and add it back again through Plaid every time I want to use this payment method, I don’t think I can make 2 deposits using the bank transfer without disconnecting and reconnecting the account. Honestly not a big deal once you catch on to that but i could see it being confusing if you were not aware of this quirk. Very cool thank you strike

This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever seen on the app store. I do not know if this app is simply taking PII and acting as a honeypot but they do not open an account and provide no feedback to users at all once their PII is taken. Kind of like a machine where you put a quarter in and it does nothing not even a thank you. Deleting and reporting this app. Strike no need for the automated feedback comment since we all know your compliance secrecy clains are false. Zero stars is a better rating. Answer to Developer response: I did reach out to support. They essentially told me nothing other than it was not approved. No reason of any kind and they promptly cancelled my account. When I asked why they said they could not tell me why and it was out of their power to resolve. So basically took my PII and gave no explanation of any kind and cancelled my account. This is very unprofessional and honestly is a very disappointing customer experience. I asked for it to be escalated for review and they essentially said no. Then when I went to the FAQ and the site the privacy information was blank. It gives a scammy and sketchy vibe to your customers and needs to be dealt with. It makes me wonder if this is a real app or not. You need a better process or better customer service responses. I want to know what you are doing with my PII and why no response is given when asked. That is not a lot to ask for. I am certain this violates Apple’s policies for app store apps.

There’s a good chance you’re going to need to submit your social and a photo of your ID front and back, maybe more. You may even read online about how Strike only requires that when you’re number, email, and name are not enough to identify you, but I don’t believe that now. I’m tired of having to give out so much of my personal information to all of these crypto businesses, so I was looking forward to trying out this app. Also, your account can never fully be deleted once you start setting it up! Seems very sus. I was having issues setting up an account and they said it’s not possible to make a new one. How…?? Doesn’t make any sense because I know of no other company that’s as strict as that. None!! You can only use the 1st one you started to set up. Ever. Interpret that how you want (reader) but it seems very suspicious that you can’t even make a new account or fully close an account. When I “closed my first account” and tried to use the same phone number for a second account, it said the number was already in registration. Like wth?? I deleted it, how is it still in their severs detecting that it’s in use?? I’m disappointed because I really wanted to try this app after hearing so many positive reviews about it, but… I guess I’ll go ahead and stick with COINBASE PRO since their fees aren’t bad. Update: if you request them to delete YOUR information from their database, they won’t delete ANY of it… I never fully opened an account, asked them to delete my basic information, and they said they won’t.
