I love having an app off of FB to connect with other therapists. Community is so important when it comes to learning from each other, feeling safe to ask vulnerable questions, share more openly about building your practice, defining your niche or moving through challenges. I highly recommend to any therapist wanting to connect and build their network off FB.
This app is the community you’ve been looking for as a counselor/therapist/social worker/psychotherapist. It’s a social media app that is constantly growing and expanding. You can talk about your struggles and receive real support. You have reminders for the tasks you need to be working on and help to talk about a routine or whatever you need to create for yourself. You can ask for feedback. You can ask questions. You can be real and free of clients seeing your information. There are groups that you can make for your team, your friends, your network, or even to move your Facebook group to a safer environment. This app doesn’t data mine your information or posts like other social media apps do. This app has no ads or commercials. The Organized Therapist is like coffee on Fridays with your buddies who do the same job as you and get you. Listen to you nonjudgmentally. Accept you. And support you. Tired of Facebook? Sick of your privacy not being honored? Want to talk with people who understand the work you do but don’t have local connections or need more support because of COVID? This is your new community. Welcome. I’ll see you in the app.
An irony to practicing therapy, is that we are all on islands. We bridge those islands through regular groups & connections with our peers, but day-to-day support is challenging & unrealistic. ‘The Organized Therapist’ app comes to our rescue! I’ve found this app very helpful to my practice; particularly for ongoing back office tips on notes, billing, and connections with other like-minded therapists. In short, I highly recommend this app to other therapists. Give it a try and see for yourself!
