In Avatar: The Last Airbender, in the final agni kai between Azula and Zuko, the audience was meant to see how, during all this time that Aang was learning to master all the elements, Zuko was doing the same. While Aang was learning as the avatar, Zuko was picking up on the skills and movements from the other benders he had seen while traveling around the world. While the first obvious example of Zuko learning from other benders is Iroh teaching him how to redirect lightening, movements that Iroh learned from waterbenders, there are also obvious examples from earthending and airbending. When Zuko disperses the fire that Azula shoots at him by cutting his hands through the air and separating it for himself, the movements are nearly the exact same as when Aang uses airbending to disperse fire. When avoiding Azula's fire again, he jumps into the air, propelling himself with his own flames, the spinning moves he makes are nearly identical to the fluid movements of Aang when avoiding attacks. In the first attack, Zuko brings both arms and slings with towards Azula, not using the rigid movements of firebending but instead using the fighting style of waterbenders, specifically the style Katara uses when covering her arms in water to make long tentacles. Zuko also uses earth bending when defending himself, taking the wide stance that he has seen Toph use many times and erecting a barrier of fire to protect from Azula's flames. Through this analysis, we can clearly see how Zuko was learning from the world around him and how, before we are even able to see it through his actions, he is picking up on his enemies-turned-friends tactics and styles, which leads him to become the most understanding and culturally well versed Fire Lord in history

Mitochondria are membrane-bound cell organelles (mitochondrion, singular) that generate most of the chemical energy needed to power the cell's biochemical reactions. Chemical energy produced by the mitochondria is stored in a small molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Mitochondria contain their own small chromosomes. Generally, mitochondria, and therefore mitochondrial DNA, are inherited only from the mother. Mitochondria are membrane-bound organelles, but they're membrane-bound with two different membranes. And that's quite unusual for an intercellular organelle. Those membranes function in the purpose of mitochondria, which is essentially to produce energy. That energy is produced by having chemicals within the cell go through pathways, in other words, be converted. And the process of that conversion produces energy in the form of ATP, because the phosphate is a high-energy bond and provides energy for other reactions within the cell. So the mitochondria's purpose is to produce that energy. Some different cells have different amounts of mitochondria because they need more energy. So for example, the muscle has a lot of mitochondria, the liver does too, the kidney as well, and to a certain extent, the brain, which lives off of the energy those mitochondria produce. So if you have a defect in the pathways that the mitochondria usually functions with, you're going to have symptoms in the muscle, in the brain, sometimes in the kidneys as well; many different types of symptoms. And we probably don't know all of the different diseases that mitochondrial dysfunction causes.
