BlockSite: Block Apps & Focus

I am exhausted and disgusted with the consumption of erotic porn images. This has been the first year where I am fighting the addiction and it’s been a battle with relapse after relapse. And I don’t want this to affect me psychologically anymore. Thank goodness this app showed up when I really needed it. I’ll pay for the subscription, I’ll block all the websites that I’ve visited and block every porn/sexual-related keyword that I unfortunately know. I don’t want to ruin my life again, I don’t want to hurt again the people I love and have disappointed. I’m done poisoning myself. May this app help to help me drain the filth that’s been in my head for too long and I hope to be within time, a better man, a more appropriate man, a clean-minded man, a respectful man.

I don’t have a premium service, as I don’t really want to pay for another subscription right now, but from my experiences with the standard version it’s good. The site does as advertised, it blocks the desired content, and does it darn well. However, I find that after while, it makes it so my phone is very slow processing wise. To the point where loading apps or website pages can take upwards of 30 seconds while I’m on wifi that has a strong connection. I don’t know, it may be just a me problem, but just something to think about. The unpaid experience is good, it allows you to block a max of up to 5 websites, and there is no block on which websites can be blocked. I assume the paired experience is better, but if you’re looking for a free solution this isn’t bad.

Does this app do what it is supposed to? Yes. It blocks my requested sites, and it’s easy to add customized lists. Does this app do a little more than I’d like it to? Yes. It slows down all of my web browsing & often blocks websites that shouldn’t be blocked. It takes me multiple (~5) refreshes to load a single webpage when I have this app installed. Don’t even bother trying to complete an order of any kind because loading that many pages in sequence is impossible. I ended up deleting it the first time I downloaded it because of this issue. But I downloaded it bc my goal is to use my phone less, and if it’s a nightmare to click on any webpage, I tend to get frustrated and put my phone down —> goal accomplished. TLDR; yes it blocks your chosen websites, but it occasionally blocks & always slows down all other websites as well.
