I am a regular at coffee one.. at times I have enjoyed stopping there to see my friends early morning or throughout the day … I am increasingly disappointed on the lack of staff , the wait times , the cleanliness … today I waited 23 minutes in a queue and coffee appearing , the floors more than often have dirt and rubbish existing for several days . The toilets are filthy most of the time and toilet role difficult to use if there is any … the staff are under huge amounts of pressure most of the time even when it’s a small number of people the turnover of staff is horrendous . Today I asked for a large latte and got a medium . The staff mostly are friendly but when you have been going into the shop for 10 years we never seem to have consistent management or staffing … the area is affluent it is clear there is enough revenue being generated to have the numbers of staff . There is a chair which we have complained about before with a damaged arm rest it is uncovered it is filthy. I will now continue to complain as this is my opportunity to relax and meet friends and is being worded by a poor service even when the coffee is the most expensive … please sort this out we deserve better
I went for a coffee on Saturday to take with me on my bus. I had a five minute break to which I grabbed my coffee and it was horrible! The coffee was a cappuccino and it was so light. I asked for a drink but all I got was foam and a dirty taste of coffee. Went back in today (Sunday) and explained to Nikki the assistant manager and she very kindly made me a new one and it’s was splendid! Both ladies make the nicest of drinks. The men in the store on Saturday really do need to go back to barista training and realise that coffee is the heart of us keeping up with our busy lives and the be given one that taste like mud made me very disappointed and lucky the girls are great else I wouldn’t of gone back. The Telford town centre store. If you could offer them this feedback I’d be very appreciative Kind regards Jo
I wish the staff cared more. I wish the company cared more. As I type this, a lady in a chair across from me is teetering on a wobbly seat. I routinely have to switch the chairs around because I don’t want a wobbly chair too. Today before sitting I checked my table. It was sticky with drink stuff and sugar possibly. And I’m in a really quiet café btw, and there’s 4 staff on shift so someone would have time to wipe tables. So I asked a staff member if they could wipe my table and they did straight away. I then had to grab a bunch of towels and wipe dry the wet table. See what I mean? It’s like the staff are paid enough to function but not paid enough to care. It gets worse. I sat and got out my book to read and realised the table was still sticky. I then realised that I could scrape a layer of scum off the table with my finger nail. So the table regularly gets wiped, but it doesn’t get cleaned. That’s the difference between doing a job and caring for the job that’s being done. All it takes is one white wet wipe rubbed over the table and that wipe won’t be white anymore. Not good. I’m not naming the café, because every café should take a look at all their chairs and tables. I like Coffee #1 and hate writing negative reviews (this is my first) but when a fan feels icky about drinking a coffee, the company should be concerned.
