I was trying to take a Commuter bus for the first time via San Joaquin RTD. I set up my account, added Apple Pay as well as my credit card, but when I try to buy a pass, my card gets charged but my pass isn’t issued. Also nothing is shown on my order history. At this point I think I’m going to have to show the bus driver my credit card transactions and hope he/she has some pity for a first time San Joaquin County transit user, especially since we want “only exact change”. Coming from the Bay Area with serious Clipper Card integration and contactless payment as a first-priority, Vamos Mobility is a dysfunctional application to say the least. Customer service isn’t pickup. 0 stars.
The app crashes frequently, particularly when a purchase is made. There are MANY times where I’ll buy a ticket and it won’t show up until I completely close the app multiple times. It’s also extremely slow to load at times, we need better.
When I started to use Vamos Mobility, it was helpful. I had trouble buying the monthly passes locally and it avoided that mess. However, every new iOS release, I cannot use my passes or tickets. They show up once and when I open the app again, they disappear as EZHub opens. I like the convenience of having electronic tickets but I walked 3+ miles last week because I could not show anything to the driver.
