As an experienced pool installation specialist, it’s incredibly frustrating to realize a manufacturer has take several steps in the wrong direction with their technology. In the past, servicing automation systems was straightforward—everything could be handled efficiently from configuration app. Now, they have over-complicated the ecosystem by forcing everything through locked-down cloud apps. If you are an independent service company and choose not to jump through the corporate hoops of their Partner Program, you are completely locked out of a unified dashboard to monitor your client accounts. The only workarounds are managing messy shared consumer logins or standing at the pad relying solely on the outdoor panel buttons because they've restricted remote access. Instead of making the equipment more user-friendly and accessible for the trade, they’ve built a closed gate that slows down field service. They’ve traded field efficiency for clunky software and partner portals. If you're an independent tech or a homeowner looking for seamless serviceability, keep this software lock-out in mind before committing to their products. This is just the TECHNOLOGY. You guys get one star for your cheap plastic pool pumps. And now a new warranty department that is way too strict for the volume of warranty claims that have to be made with your products.. Jandy is strict also but it’s so rare to ever need to use their warranties. They’re well expired before any of their equipment goes wrong. I recommend Jandy.. the increased cost is worth it.
1 out of 4 I try connecting and it fails causing problems when trying to program customers pump. So far lots of negative feedback from the customer about these pumps. Needs better connectability.
Newly installed Intelliflo3’s, assured by Pentair the Bluetooth only version will work in low or no cell service areas. Initial programming and connection was sketchy but worked. Now I can get the pump Bluetooth to connect to my phone but the app does nothing but spin “Connecting”. Pentair tech support said I need to buy a screen for them, no response from my local AZ reps. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars for screen/keypad configs. Thanks Pentair
