Im a UX designer (app designer) and this is the worst app I have ever experienced across the world (ive been to 43 countries) so that is saying something. it is like an engineer built it blindly without having ever used an app. 1. Sign up process is terrible - takes forever, asks for pictures of your passport. Also, it will crash throughout the process, so be patient. Also, this app asks for a passport if you are a foreigner, so clearly they were expecting foreigners to use this. Also, it has some English support, and then flips back to all Spanish. Let users Pick a language or at least stick to one!! 2. Then inputting your payment method - i got through otro ID part, but of course it crashed. 3. Turned the app again and tried to check out - saying now I dont have the right user previleges… ok reading through old reviews again, finding out you can only buy the tourist pass. Once again, meaning this thing was designed for foreigners to use as well. 4. Finally, unlocked a bike!! Hooray right?? Nope, flat front tire that I missed before unlocking it. 5. Attempting to return the bike - no way to end the ride, because the app is glitching and it says ride hasnt started yet, although I unlocked the bike. 6. Contact help because there is no actual help center faq article - it is just a whatsapp bot, cant ask any questions, just says the same thing 7. Figured out how to return the bike - hooray 8. Im still charged, and it says i cant rent another bike for 15 minutes This wasted 30 minutes of my life and Im still bikeless. Seriously want to see who designed and implemented this app, because this is the worst thing I have ever used as an interaction designer.
Old review below. But I persisted and figured it out. After going through the painful registration process, I kept getting errors on the payment upload. I realized that despite the fact it offers an ‘other’ category for ID, just leave it set to DNI and omit any letters from your passport number. This worked for me and my payment method was approved. I’m now able to use the bikes. I think the fact that there are so many bikes available (here in Buenos Aires anyway) is because the app is so horrible to use. Even for locals, the process is unintelligible. It’s taken me well over an hour to figure this out. Insane. —————- Original review: Why have an app that asks for your passport, offers a specific tourist plan and then not allow tourists to make a payment? I see the comments from the developer that this is only for Argentine residents. In which case, why ask for a passport upload? This is one of the worst app experiences I have even come across. After asking for your passsport image, it then asks you for you passport number, and later on, asks you to re-enter it again for payment. After which you get a helpful message in Portuguese that it doesn’t work and to try again later. Terrible. Visitors, please, take it from me, don’t waste your time
As a tourist, here’s what I did to make it work: Go through sign up process. Take picture of passport (not sure if they validate) Fill in info (make sure bday is day first and you have two names in your name field first last) Address info can be anything Then if it crashes because server error, go back and login in using your newly made credentials. Validate your account with a phone number ( you get a text) Then buy the Turístico plan ( only one that takes foreign cards) You should be good to go. Still very unclear app and can be improved but got it to work.
