Although it took a little while for me to have some space to grab the community-distributed tasks, I had, just yesterday, the good fortune to be able to pick tasks without them having been grabbed by someone else before I got to it. I chose three tasks to do; taking photos of grocery store products. Don’t be fooled by the template image examples, though, from one photo task to the next - the photos are supposed to all be of the single product in question. Aside from that, payment was completed quickly, after a review of the photos was done, which happened during the morning time, for the one or two I did last night.
This is a great, simple gig. If you’re near a store, it’s a quick 10 minutes and an introduction to some awesome new products on the market. I don’t typically look for new items in the grocery store when I’m shopping because I know what I want. But ever since I have begun these shopping gigs, I have been introduced to some great new items AND I GET PAID to learn about them! The gig is just about shooting photos on your phone of a few things: the price sticker, any advertising cards or anything else besides the price sticker pertaining to the product/s and then shooting as many photos of their competitors as well as giving notes about the setup. Is it messy, damaged, can you find the product easily, does it look good, is there a competitor who outshines their product …. Anything that can give the company information. That’s the short summary view. They have a sample video with detailed instructions in the app in case you get flustered that shows you how to do them. I don’t want competition for the gigs but when something is good, I want them to know I appreciate the opportunities. Now, for the app, too many pages say, “Detail not available”. Please either make something available or remove the page. As for the page called ‘Notifications’, it’s showing ‘New Feature Coming Soon’ for a while. I’m excited but it’s another page with nothing to share. Something I love about this program is that the person who grabs the gig, gets 2 days to complete it (more time than most gig apps) and if they don’t get to it, it resorts back to the open market for someone else to complete it. My only negative is that there aren’t enough PICKL jobs in my area. They are in almost every big store and so super easy to do. Lastly, there’s real people at the other end if you have a problem or just want to share feedback with the company. Good luck fellow Picklers!
Started using Pickl a while back and just getting around to reviewing. So easy to use. I always check available Pickl’s before I leave my house to go grocery shopping to see if there’s a Pickl assignment or 2 along the way. Easy way to make quick cash for just a minute of time. Super fun when there’s 2 or more in the same store. Had a question about switching payments options and customer service was super responsive. Wish there were many more in my area but really grateful for the extra cash as it is. I also turned my college aged kids onto it and now they look for Pickls to help pay for their Starbucks habit.
