I saw the reviews and was thinking “oh whatever I only need to use it for this one trip, it can’t be that bad.” Oh it is. It really is. There is literally no navigation, just a refresh button and a virtually empty and entirely unclickable screen. It has a single message that says you need to check in to your hotel before you can use the app. I have checked in…I literally have a room that is ready. There is nowhere to even enter or edit information so it’s not like the app has a clue who I am or what hotel my reservation is even at. I honestly just started laughing…how can someone make an app this bad? I think I’ll just go wait in line to get physical keys, delete this garbage app, and move on with my life.

This app is very clumsy and provides little guidance to get started but it has saved me hours in the checkin line at the Venetian and Palazzo. Note that the only way to use the app is after you checkin at the hotel website (preferably through your mobile device that has this app loaded ) and select mobile key which will launch the app. Only then will it walk you through the process of taking pictures of ID and a selfie. The ID must reasonable match the information on your reservation. I like to also have a physical card so during off hours after I get to the hotel I go and pick up a physical key too. It isn’t necessary but I like having a couple of options to get through the room security line.

I couldn’t get it to scan the back of my ID no matter what. You can’t go back in the app to try a different ID, and you can’t close the app and start over. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it from The Venetian’s check in screen - it locked up saying the reservation was already being used by another device. 20 minutes of my life I’ll never get back AND I don’t have a digital key. Venetian - you really need to fix your mobile check in process and develop your own app for Grazie.
