Overall, this is an excellent app for the iPhone, featuring TomTom maps and traffic data (also used by other apps), a very clear interface, and a helpful visual display for upcoming turns once you get accustomed to it.
The small only issue is that on CarPlay, the navigation view is often more zoomed in, whereas on the iPhone it's almost always perfect. That is, on the iPhone you can see not only where you are, but more of where you're going.

Hi, I think this app could do better to better rival other maps/navigation apps out there. Such as Waze. You can report police on the road if you see them on Waze but you cannot do that on this app. I think Waze definitely has the win-win over this app because they have the user base they’ve been around longer and they offer more features. Probably because they have been around longer. This app is going to have to play catch up to Waze maps. Just like Apple is trying to do with its maps app. Will TomTom be able to catch up/keep up with the other maps/navigation apps. How can this app be better than the competition what can this app offer that the other maps/navigation apps can’t. How can you guys make people switch from Waze maps to this app. Waze maps currently has a 4.9 out of 5 star rating on the App Store. Can TomTom compete with that? I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting this to be a good alternative to either Apple Maps or Google Maps, but this surprised me in a lot of ways. It works seamlessly well with Apple CarPlay, and if you need maps offline, this is great for it. My only gripe with it is it doesn’t work with the tri-split screen (the one where you swipe all the way to the left), which is a view I use fairly often when I don’t need the full map on screen. Perhaps that can come with a future update? Otherwise, an alternative nav app I would recommend.
