Wood Cube Puzzle

This game is not fun because of the torturous ads. Also, the creator is always making some kind of changes to the game’s features and functions. Whatever they’ve done this time, I can’t win anymore. I don’t know if they’ve changed some kind of algorithm or what. I’m good at games like this and would win quite frequently. It’s just really weird how the pieces come in sequence now. Like the pieces are purposely pre-chosen to keep you from winning. I notice a difference in the pattern with how the different pieces come now. I can always tell when they’ve been tinkering with this game and it always is unnecessary. And the ads are tinkered with too. I can’t even move past the ad right now because it won’t let me select the “X” to get back to the game, which is the final straw that has lead to this review. I REMEMBER WHEN THESE COMPUTER GAMES WERE FREE, FREE OF ADS AND WERE UNINTERRUPTED FUN!!!!

Game is lots of fun. It would be a lot better if there was an ad free option, even if the game itself wasn’t free. The constant interruption of other games trying to distract you from playing the block game (the real reason you made a download from App Store in the first place, right?) to buy THEIR game is a real wet blanket on the otherwise immersive-ness games like this produce, which is the reason the first time I downloaded it, I became frustrated and deleted it. It was to the point that after you run through 4 or 5 frames, the game will be paused and at least 2 ads for other games will interrupt your momentum. Annoying and irritating are mild descriptions for my reaction, because the longer you play the more the frequency of the ads increases, again totally killing the fun of the game itself. I hope you guys in marketing and development are listening!

I love the retro jazz music and that getting to listen to the song play all the way through in its entirety. The crackle and hiss sounds of the record player are a nice touch, too. The seemingly simple interface must’ve taken a lot of work to get just right. Kudos to the developers for creating a great app that is so solidly good at what it does. For someone who likes the convenience of technology in my pocket but who really loves the analog quality of handmade objects and music that sounds like it’s been played and recorded by real people, this is a very welcome app on my phone.
