The Greek version of the IKEA app is a perfect reflection of the ethics and priorities of the local branch of the company — disorganized, careless, and disrespectful to customers. Whoever is managing this app has clearly never shopped online in their life. The whole point of online shopping is to save time and avoid unnecessary trips to physical stores. Yet, most of the products listed on the app aren’t even available for online purchase — and to make matters worse, many of them are also unavailable in-store. But the real highlight? The app recently decided to remove everything from my favorites list simply because those products were no longer available online. After hours of careful research, planning, and saving ideas for my purchases, everything was gone without warning. Just like that. Bravo, IKEA Greece. What an impressive way to show complete disregard for your customers’ time, effort, and trust.
Beware! The last two times I ordered online in Greece it took months to receive my order. On the 7th of December I ordered Xmas decorations that were on stock. It was supposed to arrive in 10 days max. Now it’s the 3rd of January. A month later, my package not only never arrived, it hasn’t even shipped yet and customer support is not replying to any of my emails or messages on social media. On instagram they only reply “DM us your order details” but they never read the DMs and never take any action to give me a delivery date. If you read the comments on their instagram page you will see that many other customers have terrible experience with online orders and customer support. Never again ordering from IKEA such a scam
Great update. Can order from e-shop now while on the app. Also fixed some problems.
