Sea Trials - USCG License Exam

I initially used this app 4 years ago to study for my 3AE license exams, in unison with my license prep course. I stand by this app and the structure of the study material and ability to break down sections and generate test. It is the ONLY material I used to pass my license prep course as well as my exams. The app made it so easy to study and generate test, it became addicting to study! It actually motivated me to study because I actually enjoyed the interface and the ease of access of all the material. I also enjoyed how some test questions that required a diagram had a direct link to it making it easier to navigate and study. Whereas some other applications/study material require you to scroll through an entire pdf or web page before finding the diagram. The time it takes to find the diagram on other apps, I’ve already forgot the question and have to flip back and forth several times. I also enjoyed the ability to flip through sections (and subsections) with or without the answers shown AND to shuffle the order of the questions. I am back again to study for my 1st Unlimited!

This app has been a great help to me in studying for my coasties. My school provides lapwere to me but I prefer to use seatrials as having the mobile app is amazing for studying deck gen/nav/safety. Pros: 1. Allows you to keep track of the questions you have looked over in study mode. This is the only one of the competitions that I could find that do this 2. Unlimited test generation (with subscription) 3. It’s on your phone 4. Makes you feel guilty when you miss days because it tracks how many questions you do pre day Cons: 1. Expensive, with new subscription model you pay 30 dollars a month. I used to pay 10. 2. The basic 20 dollar a month version only lets you take FIVE practice tests a MONTH. this is the biggest con in my opinion. 3. The explanation that is provided for the questions is often wrong and I have a feeling it was AI generated. Overall I still give it 5 stars as it has been very helpful for me to study. But if your school provides you with another service maybe skip this one because of the price

So I used this to study for my 3rd AE Unlimited HP and DDE tests. I also used a the paper study guide and a USB from Mariner Adv. They all had there pluses and minuses. Specifically, I really liked how the questions were broken down into sections so I could focus on one thing at a time. Also was WAY more convenient to do the questions on my phone than having to have a laptop with me. I did have one problem when I went to purchase a 3 month membership, my connectivity on my phone caused me to get charges but denied me the access on the app. I emailed them about the problem and it was resolved in a few hours with them going above and beyond. Totally recommend this app for studying.
