I’m giving them 5stars because hopefully, the odds of someone reading this before downloading the app, will read it. STAY AWAY. I don’t even know where to start… the 250 cash advance is a total lie. My husband makes 100k+ a year, he also has this app and I constantly see emails in our joint email account that Brigit automatically deposited 50 DOLLARS… not even he can get over 50. He doesn’t seem to care as he makes too much money to even notice. But for my situation… it’s not even about the loan amount. Their service all around is just abysmal.. you need to re-enter your debit card info constantly (and takes days to update), their customer service support is garbage if not, just straight up nonexistent. The copy/paste soulless response this review will get be 100% by far they most they’ve ever acknowledged me.. you have REQUEST to have your account back to a free service from a 10$ month sad excuse of a service.. REQUEST TO DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT.. like what universe are they in?.. how do they have the gall to make you jump through hoops just have your account deactivated?… ugh. There SO MUCH more I can rant about how truly awful Brigit is. But I’m not giving them more energy. Hopefully my “request” to have my account deactivated will approve (my God.. they’re so pathetic) please stay away from this app. I definitely recommend Earnin and Dave over, refuse Brigit..
I’ve posted a review about this app before. A less than shining review. I’ve tried every other option, including email, to reach out to customer support. My only outlet left is review. I tried this app a couple of times and couldn’t get approved because the app wouldn’t correctly anticipate my actual income. Gave it up, and my partner talked me into trying it again. Same issue. I work for a reputable, large company and I’ve had the same bank account for an extended period of time. Same deposit source for an extended period. The apps “earned” money number is *ALWAYS* wrong. It will not qualify me, even though several other apps have for substantial amounts. I’d heard that this app was more affordable to use than some others, and I’d love to try it but 🤷🏻♀️ they don’t seem to care whether or not they respond to customer inquiries for assistance in bugs in their app. *Update: To the review response that I can contact customer help, I have. I went to the link from the app the first time I tried to use it (weeks ago) and got no response. I’m happy to try again, hopefully I’ll be able to get assistance understanding and working out whatever bug/ issue there is. I’m trying very hard to give this app a fair shot because I’ve heard good things. Currently: the amount earned, the bill payment and deposit recognition are still incorrect. *Second Update* I tried the link sent to my email. It’s an automated chat, that will only answer very specific questions and was of absolutely no assistance. Is there a live person I can chat?
edit: The head of customer service, Mike, reached out to me. Not only did he solve my below issue, he helped with several others! He was awesome! I have been using this service on and off for about 8 months or so. I have had some issues with the unbelievably slow connectivity and pay back time in the app but overall not a huge deal. However with that said my latest issue is rather worrisome. I withdrew in the app and then they credited it back to themselves a full week before the agreed upon date of this upcoming Friday. This caused an overdraft in my bank account and charges for not just this but another bill. Overall around 60$ in fees. So I emailed in and questioned why a withdraw was performed on my account without my permission as it was out of the agreed upon pay back date. Waited as it takes up to 5 business days for a response?? Luckily get a reply in 3. However the response is obviously a generic response provided to customers and does address my issue of the withdraw of my account that should not have occurred. Okay let’s try this again. The second email a manager responds and says yes we know of the issue with USAA and we know we know it was an issue on our side. But there is nothing we can do since we didn’t charge the fees. I feel like something should be done. Credit back my subscription fees or something. As you didn’t bother to inform the customer there was an issue. This is abuse of the system to withdraw funds without permission a full week before the agreed upon date. Try a different app this one just cost you more in the long run. In the waiting time is ridiculous.
