Needs updating for one major and one minor issue.

I like the grill. It does a good job when everything goes right. I believe it is a far better option than a treager or smoker because of the small use of pellets. I can get the smoke flavor I need without worrying about whether the temperature is too high or too low. This grill is good for that. But let’s talk about why it can be a pain. First and foremost, there is absolutely no reason I should have to login to my grill to use it. Mainly because I don’t need to. I own the product I should be able to use the product without trouble. Logging in is very ridiculous. Especially if I have no internet connection and need the grill. Next is the weird case where I am getting the grill to temp with one mode just to get the grill going and then I want to add a thermometer. There are two issues that come with this, the first is that the grill temp will set itself to CLD (cold). Meaning there is no heat. Why the temp can’t stay the same, when switching to a different mode, is beyond me. Next is the fact that if I want to get my grill running at all with the thermometer it won’t let me until I plug in a probe. I know this seems silly but hear me out. If I can set the thermometer without plugging it in then my grill can at least be getting to temp while it waits for the plug. I can also just have the grill and thermometer set without being plugged in and then while my food is cooking or warming up the grill can then send me alerts for the probe to be plugged in. I understand the idea of not letting food burn or to have a grill running without a probe but my grill will run on grill mode without a probe anyway. Why can’t I have that available without plugging one in until later.

Loving that smoke! Why did I wait so long? ;)

I’ve had the ninja pro connect XL for several months sitting in my garage. Spring has arrived, and the grill has been set up. Extremely easy to use. The pairing to my Bluetooth and my Wi-Fi were very straightforward and was completed within minutes. The use of the mobile application Left me wanting for nothing. From an accessibility standpoint all features and buttons were identifiable and labeled well. The functionality of the grill was impressive. I was guided through every step and given recipes that helped guide me along the way as an outdoor grill newbie. Thank you ninja pro.

Sign in screen

When signing the default in large font is for new users to register. In order to actually sign in to an existing account you must scroll down and in a very tiny font it says, Already a customer, sign in” with a bold tiny font “log in” no highlights. This is the exact opposite of 99.9% of app logins. The default should be current user sign in with the option to create a new account directly underneath the current user sign in. To add insult to injury, if you use what clearly looks like the sign in there is no ability to back out to find the actual sign in link at the bottom of the page. I am at a loss for words that any app developer would create such a confusing unnecessary mess for a customer login screen. The app works fine when you eventually get in, however, the login appears to have been designed by a vindictive third grader.
