I downloaded this app for our trip to Rome and I was invaluable. We also had the mini lonely planet Rome guide, which was a bit more helpful in planning the trip, but this app we used way more often. The suggestions were excellent. I started to trust the judgement of the app more than lonely planet, and ended up using the lonely planet when we were in an area where there were no suggestions and we needed food. Great picks, the offline map was a life saver, the descriptions were great, and the only downside is that I can’t download one for every city I go to. Great buy for sure.
It makes a HUGE difference to have these tips and recommendations when you're out and about. On the days that I didn't have a complete itinerary in Rome, I was delighted to find coffee shops and restaurants near my location or next destination that were already vetted with excellent taste. In a pinch the transportation and FAQ sections were helpful and reassuring. It was also super interesting to read about the different neighborhoods from a local perspective. Might be nice for some sections to link out to associated blog posts or relevant sites/apps like MyTaxi or Trenitalia. (Within reason though...I could see how that could get annoying.) Overall I look forward to returning to Rome and finding more gems with this app!
Great app for only launching a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to more updates and more additions to each section. Really enjoying the most recent update with small paragraphs on neighborhoods. I'm moving to Rome in a month or so and will look forward to using this app.
