Have been using this app for a while now, and as long as I keep on track (don’t forget to use it 🙈), it has helped me a lot to stay focused on work and leave everything for the break, any interrupting thought, any pause or non-work related thing, I leave it for the break with no remorse. I can progress thru my tasks and then do a little reward stretch 🙌🏻😁. I feel like I actually progress thru the day instead of all it being a blur and not accomplishing anything since this WFH began (which I loved but haven’t managed the best way). Love the app and will continue to use and recommend 🥳🥳// Previous review: Not sure if it was due to an update or that I recently change phones (went from iPhone 6 to 11), but now when I open the app I see the initial Wakeout welcome logo, and then the screen is all white, it doesn’t load anything at all nor it seems like anything is happening in the background. Hopefully is something the team is aware of and they are working on fixing it, I really like the app to help me be less sedentary during the work day 🤞🏻

There are a lot of things I like about this program, I paid the $60 for it, which is a big deal for me. Using it so far I've had some not so user friendly problems with it, including the iPhone and Mac use/interfade of the app. as well as with Health Data. They don't seem to talk to one another, so data from the laptop doesn't show up on phone. Also I don't understand the timer and various things to program in, no explanations on use of the app in it. Much of it is intuitive, but not all. Have sent an email, but as yet no answer. I'd like to redo some of the exercises I've done before on another day, and that's hard to do. Moving around in the app needs improvement too. The exercises are great, I'm getting to move different areas of my body throughout the day for short periods which keeps my energy up and focus clear. That's very valuable. Also, it says I can create a team, inviting up to 10 friends, and I click on the "let's go" and nothing happens. Frustrating as I have a co-worker who's enjoying the music and likes the idea. But nothing happens. No explanation, either or troubleshooting. Hence the 3.5-.4* review. Next upgrade, make it 5*!

I'm not a person moved to write reviews often, especially favorable ones, but I am moved to promote Wakeout because it has helped me a lot in a short period of time. I work at home mostly and have noticed many physiological changes since the pandemic changed all our lifestyles. The first, most obvious, downside of working from home is that my shoes no longer fit! I had swollen feet and ankles. This was solved with a standing desk, but I still had other problems, like habitual ways of holding myself that caused pain. Since starting Wakeout, I no longer retire to bed each night with a heating pad and advil, and I have gained mobility back into part of my leg that went dead when I was 20. I enjoy the focus timer and interval workouts. I like that I don't have to change into expensive workout apparel and buy fancy equipment. The background music is really well-picked, being neither too abrasive nor too sleepy. I like that the people in the videos are also at the office or at home in a space similar to my own. I am not an avid app user, being gen x. But also I find most apps to be more of a distraction then helpful toward productivity, even when designed to be. I think it is a positive sign that technology can be used more toward actually helping us be better humans than just fleecing our wallets. We all know this won't stand for much longer. Yay Wakeout! Thank you for developing an app with User Experience in mind.
