Ikesen will always be my first love but…

This was my very first otome game, and it will always have a special place in my heart, but it’s reached a point where I find all the new content borderline unreadable. I loved all the act 1 stories and I still love all the characters, but time travel is a huge component of the story and I feel that they’ve failed to develop that aspect of the worldbuilding in a way that is enjoyable and satisfying to read and that does not detract from the story. The act 2 and 3 time travel stuff is equal parts annoying and inconsistent and actively impedes my enjoyment of the stories. Additionally, they’ve started rapidfire releasing sequels and ‘eternal love’ routes while they still haven’t released Ranmaru’s main route even though his character has been out for a few years now. It’s weird to me that act 2 characters are starting to get EL routes and other characters have all their sequels out when they still haven’t bothered putting his main route out. Heck, all of act 3 came out before this act 2 character, which makes no sense. That being said, a lot of the content in this game is really good. I loved most of the routes I’ve read and am still actively involved in the fandom even though I’ve deleted the app. I suppose my only point here is that it’s wonderful, but only to a point, at least in my opinion. I wish the writing team had put more thought into fleshing out the worldbuilding in a way that strengthened the story and overall reading experience rather than detracting from it, and I wish they’d released the sequels and EL routes in a more thoughtful way, but oh well.

BEST Cybird Game

I love this game so much. I have only gone through three routes so far, but I’m excited to go through many more. The plotlines are intriguing and dramatic, and you want to keep reading. (Yes I know they can be over the top but cmon what genre is this) For me it’s a great balance of suspense without being too angsty. The character art is very well done. All of the men are physically attractive and well-drawn, and there is a good variety in their personalities. I am addicted to this game, and I absolutely love it. There are some complaints about the expense to play this game... that’s ridiculously overblown. I’ve played Cybird games for years and I’ve never spent a penny (sorry Cybird I’m broke). You can get perfectly enjoyable stories without paying anything. Yes, you can only read five chapters a day, but it’s not that bad of a pace and it keeps you wanting more. Plus you can often collect extra chapter tickets through event bonuses and login cards. It’s not like some of those awful games out there where you can only pick good choices in a story without paying. It’s a wonderful free game that you can supplement with good but not necessary paid features. If you’re an otome fan, I 100% recommend this game. And if you’re new to otome, I think it’d be a hell of an app to start with. Personally I like most of Cybird’s apps, though I think this may be my favorite. If you’re anything like me you’ll be addicted in no time.

Love it but has issues

I really like the idea of going back in time and falling in love. It’s funny to think about because it would be like me going back in time to marry George Washington, it’s still kinda weird if you think of it like that, but I don’t care since these boys are HOT. I have been thirsting after my husbando ever since I got this game. Which is great because then I don’t cry myself to sleep! It’s like any other mobile dating sim where it tries to make you pay for important items that will make it easier, and you have more time on your hands. Make sure you continue to get gold if you don’t pay for games because then you will be stuck in a loop where you can’t play the game when an event shows up. Try to also get as much clothes as you can carry since it will improve your chance to beat the limits for a stopping point. I am enjoying the story so far since it’s interesting since I don’t usually go for the sexy powerful man, but obviously has issues that you will probably find out on chapter 11. One of the things I don’t like about it is the 5 per day limit, I wish it would be for every 4 or 5 hours. I also don’t like that you can’t get ANY ITEM with gold, since it kinda makes it a useless. I get that it’s trying to make you buy coins, but it’s really annoying. But my favorite thing about this game is when your man pops up on the screen, but it’s only his head for a second or two. It’s literally the funniest thing because I’m not expecting it and a random head just pops up, and then the delayed body appears. Also the voice acting is wonderful, Nobunaga’s voice is so perfect. I love this game.
