Radiant Credit Union

I was in the market for a local banking situation that actually offered a physical location with personal service WITHOUT having to make an appointment several weeks in advance. I prefer a Credit Union situation, but was having issues locating one that i was comfortable with and did not have more negative reviews than i was ok with. Then a friend of mine referred me to Radiant CU in Live Oak, FL. I went into the branch at Live Oak, WITHOUT an appointment, and inquired about opening an account with them and within the hour i was all set up and also had my debit card IN HAND. So there was NO waiting to receive it on order to make purchases or access funds after opening my account. The person who opened my account was the branch Asst. Manager, and she was the most professional, yet personable and FRIENDLY and HELPFUL, rather than the “norm” of what i had experienced in the past from other entities. I have been with Radiant CU now for the better part of a year, and i absolutely LOVE them. They are always friendly and helpful, no matter what issue one may have. I dont normally write reviews, but felt i needed to for Radiant. And this is coming from a 25+ year member of a certain credit union who’s name begins with a V whom id had nothing BUT trouble with following my divorce. Up to and including my ex being allowed to access my account AFTER he had been removed, and then doing nothing to rectify the issues. Radiant has been AMAZING!! Youll be 100% satisfied with the people and their services if you join membership with them!

Love this credit union but the app is horrible. They’ve updated the app with new features but you cannot find the fees you are being charged on your credit card or loans. I paid my monthly bill like normal but did not know I was late by one day (shortened month threw everything off). This led to months of fees as I was always late but could figure out why because the app does not show the fees. I’ve reported over the phone with customer service and they removed on fee but we are talking months on several accounts so it was kind gesture but did not alleviate the issue. Waited 6 months to post this because we were promised an update to address the issue and it has not been resolved. Customer service has acknowledged the issue on their end still no update to the app or from their development team. It’s a banking app so expecting your transactions to show on your accounts is a basic ask. Feels shady from an institution I’ve held in high regard.

Not really sure where to even start. Radiant is the first credit union that we’ve banked with that truly values their customers. They go the extra mile with you to make sure you have everything you need and you understand all the products, benefits that’s available to you. Customer service is first class! I’d recommend starting your child/children’s bank account/s with Radiant. They offer excellent rates!
