Word Blitz - Real Cash Money

Downloaded and played word blitz ions ago. I hadn’t played in a while and when I went to play, there was a spend $12 - get $8 bonus offer. I decided to bite and spent the $12 but did not get the $8 bonus. Then, it prompted me to “merged my account. It had logged me in under some random name (which was not mine and never was) - It never actually gave the bonus and Skillz will not take any responsibility for the fact that it was randomly giving me a user name I wasn’t aware of until AFTER paying the $12 and suggesting I merge my account (this has never happened before and they don’t seem to be listening to the fact this was not a new downloaded game for me as they suggest). Very disconcerting that they will not honor this bonus (even after sending them numerous emails), it is the same response. We don’t allow transfer of bonus… yes I get that - but I didn’t even know I was logged in as something else until the transaction took place and it prompted me to merge (and of course one would have to anyway because per Skillz rules, you aren’t allowed more than one account) - I won’t be spending any more of my money with this platform if they can’t budge with an $8 bonus (a bonus they are willing to give someone new vs. someone who has spent money for years). Doesn’t make any sense that I have to go back and forth wasting time to get absolutely nowhere!

Pretty good game. One needs long words, seen quickly, and good digital dexterity to reach for the highest scores, which exceed 2,000. One can make money. However, 1) after fewer than 300 “pro” games, despite never reaching 1,600, I have been getting matched with players who top 2,000, which implies that it’s hard to find a wide variety of players to match in each skill band, and 2) in the bracket format, you may end up re-entering a tournament in which you’ve already been defeated, rather than a new one; the game doesn’t tell you. Would be good to have a few more game modes and price points, but there must be a broader player base and demand to justify them. This is the only game I’ll rate on Skillz; I like the words, but am far from elite at speed and accuracy in touch, so won’t try others.

Have attempted to communicate issues to the developer, but not allowed without email confirmation, which I never receive! Rules not laid out upfront, so I’m playing primarily for fun, hoping to eventually “get it”! Letters freeze up often, not allowing one to delete or advance, thus costing points! Words which I know are words, such as “kodiak” are not allowed (although some are subsequently allowed. Quite often, the fire keeps burning (often for hours),,forcing one to keep going until one is totally exhausted or forfeited the game (It’s listed as Aborted.) Therefore, one walk away after scoring over 75,000 points (as I did recently), only to lose a game to a person with less than 300 because the game board wouldn’t stop burning and, ultimately counted as Aborted. While I enjoy the essence of the game, these other factors tend to raise my blood pressure a notch or 2. Consequently, I will keep searching for something similar without the unnecessary headaches.
