After being down for days, multiple reinstalls, and watching it’s rating fall from 4-stars to 2.6, (I even updated my firmware >:(, nothing helped) B.I.T. just started working again! I would give this game 5-stars, but until they change it so that it doesn’t need to connect to the network, which it doesn’t even use, just to play, or at least add multiplayer support so it has a reason to connect, this game has some serious fundamental problems that need to be fixed. Make an offline version! It doesn’t work unless you can connect to the internet, and there is no reason for it to! I would happily pay $$$ for this game if it would work when I’m offline! And until you add multiplayer functionality, it has no reason to need an open connection! This is my favorite game. Without the unnecessary connectivity problems it is easily worth 5 stars, but it has been getting slammed with 1-Star reviews all weekend because no one could get it to load, which is completely unnecessary! It’s rating has fallen 1.4-stars to a sad 2.6 just over the past few days! Remove the unnecessary need to “call home” to simply load the game! Let us play offline and let it update when we are, and I will pay $$$ for it! Happily! Again, this is my favorite “rogue-like” game, my favorite free game, and maybe my favorite iOS game! But only when it works! 4/5-stars, until it works while offline..

For the few times I have actually been able to play, this game has been wonderful! I love the art design, the plethora of weapons and abilities that can be collected during gameplay, and the challenge of having to survive through the game to get to the end (dying restarts you at the beginning like traditional arcade style games). However, I have not been able to play for the past 2 days now, due to not being able to log in. The game menu appears with login options (Facebook, email, etc.), and I select my saved login (email) to proceed, but the loading bar gets stuck at 96%. After looking through the reviews, this seems to be a major issue that has still not been resolved by the developer. Furthermore, you are required to have a constant online internet connection to be able to play this game (like Pokémon Duel or Super Mario Run, games that I have since deleted because of this unreasonable and unnecessary requirement). If the login issue persists then I’ll change this review to a 1-star and go back to giving Soul Knight another chance (same gameplay, less artistic design, but doesn’t require online connection and allows you to upgrade characters outside of main gameplay).

Finally a good roguelike game on mobile! it plays very well, has good graphics, suggests a lot of different control mechanics and has a whole lot of content! It also has a few issues, it would be ten times better if you could play it without having to be connected to internet, also, there are a few bad grammatical issues in the texts that are kind of hard to ignore. I can’t help myself not to be reminded of Nuclear throne playing this, some of the guns , some of the characters, and even the last boss fight makes me want to play that game again. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing but it’s always there. Overall, a great roguelike game that can keep you entertained for hours. if it wasn’t an online one those hours could easily be doubled.
