I was introduced to this publication when it was a quarterly booklet avai9lable from Lutheran Churches. Sincve then I progressed to the quarterly onoine subscription, and now an annual subscription. I'm not a Lutheran but read the daily devotionals and morning & evening prayers. I've marked so many messages "Favourites" they could make a book in themselves. They keep me grounded in the Word, and are a great source of comfort in any situation. PTL!
In a world of podcasts, you think you can get people to listen with that live? Cmon, you can do better than that. I literally had to stop the voice and just read. Very disappointing. Overall, I rate a 3, as the rest of the app is ok. Would like the option of setting up notifications for daily devotions. But all in all, I think the app is good and will continue using it. I hope you can improve on the narrator, possibly give the option of audio speed. That would be great. Thanks for putting this out there, with a little tweaking, it could be something id share outside my Lutheran family.
I have been using Portals of Prayer for my morning devotions for many years. I recently moved to another state and another church which didn't offer Portals of Prayer, so I was very happy to find Portals of Prayer in the Apple AppStore! The app works well, is easy to navigate and offers an audio component. I highly recommend it!
