I am only writing this because although I use it EVERY DAY and perform HUNDREDS of inspections every month, i haven’t had a problem until today that seriously makes me hate the app. New update from rentcheck says bug fixes and performance improvements, sounds great right? BUT they changed the UI for inspections very drastically. It’s mostly the same except for zoom. It is IMPOSSIBLE to zoom in or out on iphone. I have an iphone 14 PM with the 3-camera setup. There used to be 0.5x, 1.0, and 2.5x default buttons that stayed at the bottom of the screen but you could also pinch to zoom. Those are gone now. Okay, fine. No problem. I can still pinch to zoom like every other app in existence that uses the camera, right?? RIGHT?????? Nope. No pinch to zoom. it doesn’t work anymore. There’s a singular button in the corner that lets you toggle through all different zoom levels, but you have to tap it 6 times to go through them all without any fine/micro adjustments. Please fix this ASAP and bring back the dedicated zoom level buttons. I will change my review once fixed.

A complete and total invasion of a renter’s expectation of privacy. A “periodic” inspection of a rental property is a superfluous requirement that identifies no issues that would not have been identified on a move-in inspection or discovered on a move-out inspection. This app makes renting a home a humiliating and debasing experience. The creator and employees of this app should be ashamed of themselves. Any property management or “landlord” that utilizes this app should be avoided. Having rented homes or apartments in four separate U.S. states (and the far flung land of Germany) I have never been subjected to a so-called “periodic” inspection of my own domicile. I refuse to believe this invasive practice is an industry standard even in the parasitic and worthless industry of rental property management. Which ever cretin created this app should be required to take numerous photos of their private home on a monthly basis and upload them to the app to validated the security and anonymity they claim exists with this app. A pox upon your house, and good day to you, “sir”.

Great experience, tedious but overall great. Definitely made me feel comfortable that I went through the entire unit. I was made aware of spot I should be concerned about that I would never think of like under that bathroom sinks lol. The app was vey simple and easy to use. No glitches at all very impressive. I was asked to take the same picture that I’ve taken already within other categories but that’s fine. Definitely was a two day process I did not want to take all these pictures in one day lol. Overall great experience and a beautiful unit. My family and I are very happy to be living here.
