Math Facts Ninja - Math Games

Our 7 year old daughter loves this app with its sounds and ways of “attacking” the right answer. I just wish it allowed for “bigger” addition and subtraction problems!

I'm a mom of two with a M.S. in pediatric development. For years I've been looking for an app like this one, but nothing was just right. Math Facts Ninja is PERFECT!!!! There are two modes: Practice (Dojo), and Belt Testing. In practice mode, you can choose to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or a combination of all four math skills at once. Within those areas, you can then focus on only the "ones", "twos", "threes", etc... all the way up to "twelves" - or practice a random mix. There are three ways to practice: Sword Swipes, Throwing Stars, or Punches. I like that in all three methods the answer is multiple choice, so that the player can always recognize or deduce the correct answer. None are timed. Response feedback is given immediately. Sword practice seems to be the easiest, just remember to swipe from the center of the character as if you are swinging a sword. Star practice takes a little more skill in recognizing and aiming for the correct answer, plus slightly less obvious feedback for incorrect answers. In Punching practice, the answers move around (like in FruitNinja) and require faster recognition and response. When you're ready to Belt Test, you choose which math skill you want to do (add/sub/mult/div). These levels include a mix of all numbers (e.g., not just "fours" or "sevens") and must be passed with a high enough score to earn your new color belt. You can test in either the Sword, Star, or Punch game. If you pass, you get your new color belt!! I hope there's a character celebration once we get all the way to Black Belt... but if not, we'll go out for ice cream or make our own celebration :0) The graphics are great and the games are as fun as flash cards are ever gonna get. I think this is the BEST GAME out there for learning multiplication facts. 100% recommend!!!
