AmpliFi WiFi

I use to love my AmpliFi HD and it’s still a solid router and I have several mesh access points hooked up. I haven’t upgraded to the alien as much as I’d like to as I don’t have some way to accommodate the additional mesh points since the won’t just mount to the electric outlet the way the HD mesh points do. My main problem as of late has been the app. The upgrades have been downgrades. I’m not sure if Alien users lost these features as well but I’d like to know before I figure out a upgrade plan. The removal of a visual data throughput display the way we have had for years is a real let down. I know they kept the numerical representation of data up and down but the visual was soo much better. I also constantly lose all the little pictures of a devices hooked to my network. I go back and add them again and it might last a month or not. I will lose them sometimes just when rebooting. It’s not a huge pain but it’s easier to see what’s connected than to have to read it all. Same for the real-time data throughput graph that is sorely missed. I also feel like whoever has been in charge of app updates is running the left hand and has a right hand that doesn’t know what the left is doing. They take away something in the app and tell you in support it’s still there. It’s like they don’t upgrade their apps on their own phones (probably know better) as I wish I could roll mine back. Please put the real-time data graph back. The app is getting worse not better in my opinion. I know it’s only my 2 cents worth of opinion. But it’s a lot of things I liked that led me to this unit years ago. They make me want to just skip alien and go to just commercial ubiquity equipment so I can use third party tools to manage my network.

My house is 2,000 square feet & I have tried every mesh I can think of to resolve my issue because I have a smart home from open the doors, light, window blinds, cameras, video games, laptops, desktops, smartphones & more. I can’t find anything stable other than my devices are dropping or slow speed. I had the orb wifi 6, which is very powerful when it came to speed, but the problem I was having was a range, dropping some of my pieces of equipment, oven, refrigerator, and washer; they were disconnected. Then I decided to go with eero wifi 6; I love their app, home kit, very stable; I did not have any issue with my devices dropping; the only problem I had was speed drop from the office to the living room in half. This is a lot for me, in my bedroom I only get 80mbp. I can’t watch 4k movies on my bedroom tv & not even 8k in my living room. No connection in the backyard at all; I can’t play online games in my living room. Then a friend of mine told me about amplified aliens. I did my research to see what makes them unique because my friend has the implied HD. I decided to buy strengthened aliens; it has been one week since I installed them. From outside in my yard, I am getting 550mbp. Long-range, no device drops, not much on the app, but I am happy to create a profile where you can assign devices; I wish their app has more features. Overall for the first time, I think I have found something that has resolved all my issues. I can watch 4k movies, even 8k games and movies, play online games smoothly; I am happy with amplifying alien. It was straightforward to set up took me 1-2 minutes. I love the display screen; I only get two routers and have the best coverage I ever had with my four wifi 6 eero, and three wifi 6 or bi combines that I have owned. This is a great router; I wish I knew about it sooner before I wasted so much money on that other mesh I have storage in my office. I will give it 5 stars ✨ but please work on the app to have more features, you will get an extra star ✨ from me.

Living out in a rural area I’m only able to get broadband internet. It’s been a nightmare. The service only provides my household with 4.7 download speed and .067 upload speed - having WiFi that would come and go and I wanted a smart home it was extremely Frustrating. In 2017 I came across the Amplifi mesh network. I Love the Amplifi mesh network I placed the router box in my master room placed one of the extension plug ins 204 feet away to the second home on my land and it’s allowing me to have no hassle internet WiFi in both the houses I placed another plug in and it is reaching my driveway gate and cam that is 1609 feet from the box in my master bedroom. It almost covers 4acres of land with the 3 piece box set. I’m now getting ready to travel and I see I can purchase a New Teleport that I can plug in anywhere in the world and be able to access my home network. When I get the teleport and use it I will definitely leave a review. I love the AmpliFi Mesh Network its a no brainer and hassle free network.
