I find this very useful but am curious as to how to remove the old alerts. I tried using the remove button several times. It will say there are no more alerts but the next day or two, the old alerts are again on my phone

Excellent service for keeping up with emergencies, road closures, weather threats, Golden alerts, power outages, boil water advisories, and much more. BUT—when you first download the app, EVERY prior notification (for years) is listed. To delete, you must swipe, then press delete, then confirm “yes” for every single message. Must-have app, but please give us batch message delete.

I find this app to be a very useful way for my community leaders to keep residents in the know about weather, road conditions, school issues, and other topics.

The app allows users to directly receive important information, via Apple's Push Notification Service, that has been input by trusted delegates from an area's authorized personnel. Ranging from more common scenarios such as accidents on the highway or school closings to severe incidents like the previous "derecho" storm - Heads Up aims to keep the public safer and more informed with live information from trusted sources.
We do not require any personal information such as email or phone number. We also do not use geolocation or geofencing as to be very cognizant of your battery life.
