Tried Using this to get a good idea of vo2 max as alternative to apple watch vo2. The instructions are lacking. You need a heart strap to do 4x4’s and get vo2 for any exercise other than outdoor run. Apple watch app can not be used indoors; strap is needed. Outdoors, The watch app counts off 4 sessions of 4 minute sprints and rest; you can do this without the app using apple workout custom. Benefit of the app is ability to track vo2 max improvement and projected improvement. Support is excellent and very responsive. Seems to have potential but looks like developers stopped midstream. Hope they will continue to improve it. Expensive.

This app was great at first. However, since 2018 GPS tracking stopped working on multiple iPhone models and this renders the app worthless. Developers have not kept up with iOS updates.
