I’ve been a mystery shopper for 5 years and have never had the displeasure of performing an assignment to not be paid (whether due to a rejection or other reason). That is until I started working with Presto. The first few shops went fine, until I performed a shop with a technical error. I reached out to support over this error, and the initial response was, “You did not complete that section. The shop has expired now.” I’m unsure if they even read my support request, or if it even reached a real person. The request stated that the section was marked as incomplete despite full completion. Edit: I have changed my review to 3 stars. My issue was finally worked out and I was paid. I appreciate that the issue was solved. I am, however, not willing to give full marks due to this error occurring in the first place alongside the slow customer support responses.
The app when there are no problems is fine, when there are you are left in the desert with no water. I have done hundreds of jobs. I am currently working on specified assignments. They have people sitting at a computer reviewing the assignments that reject them based on their opinion Regardless of the guidelines for the job. They give you the option of contesting having your income affected but it goes back to the same person who very seldom will admit they made a mistake. There is no way to contact supervisors or anybody else to address the situation. I now have people Who are upset with my questioning their judgment or retaliatory rejecting my work. This has cost me over $100, caused an enormous amount of stress, wasted gas and my time. If you’re going to create an app for a company it should be user-friendly for the people doing the work and not just for the clients. If you put in a Help ticket it goes to IT who are only looking to help with app glitches and you left unable to rectify the situation.
The BP Gas locations were put on presto and it doesn’t seem that the app could handle the load. On my first stop I messed around with presto for over two hours and finally had to abandon the shop and the rest of the shops that I had planned I should have been done within 30 minutes. It has been a continuous rebooting of my device, delete and reinstall Presto As it gets stuck on a loading page or just won’t work at all. You cannot submit shop while on location because it will not save pics thus causing a back log of multiple location photos that all look alike ...,,SHOPPERS BE WAre. If you erroneously upload two of the same images for the Bp’s then your shop will BE REJECTED AND YOU WONT BE PAID. the computer is set to catch such things as bp wants all unique pics for each question but obviously the computers can’t catch human error. So if you go out on a large route you may get totally screwed out of being paid for some mistakes that could be fixed with human editors. Good luck with this one !!
