Using this app and system has been outrageously difficult from start to finish. The app constantly links me to webpages that have errors. The customer service chat option is tedious the filter through it often Freezes and goes nowhere. My physical card came in the mail and I activated it however, when I got paid suddenly it just was no longer activated. I am stuck relying on the virtual card now because I can’t wait for the new physical card to come in the mail because the app suddenly decided it just didn’t wanna have that activate. While trying to simply use any means possible to get my money out of this app, my card suddenly freezes, and is in a blocked state. Support tells me I need my account and routing information, but the app does not have that listed anywhere and so I’m unable to unfreeze my account that was suddenly locked for no reason other than me wanting to get my funds out of this garbage app. I’ve already set up my direct deposit for a different institution, and I cannot wait for the moment that it activates and switches over. I advise everybody to steer as far clear of this app as possible. The only reason I even downloaded and used it was because I wanted to get half of my paycheck for the previous day. However, the job I work Work doesn’t use a time clock so I can’t even that perk within the app. There’s no reason to even use this app and it has done nothing but bring me headache headaches.

I absolutely hate that my employer uses this system to pay out tip-credit earnings. We already pay enough in income tax to earn a living in the US, now I have to pay some app developer to access my income and the app isn’t even that stable? Craziness. I have to go out of my way to pull funds out of my account at an “in-network” ATM to avoid paying fees (and hope the atm owner doesn’t charge a fee) or us the “free 1-2 day transfer” option to send to a proper bank account but that requires attaching a routing and account number to your instant account and waiting for several days. I do not trust the security of this app software enough to do that for several reasons. This app is so JENKY. Half the time I try to initiate a transfer to send money to my bank (for a fee by way of debit card) it tells me “oops something went wrong” with no explanation of what may be wrong. I recently have been trying to update the bank debit card (because it expired) associated with my account and the same “oops” message keeps occurring with no explanation as to why. Only a chat bot seems to be available for help. Also when setting up my account using my iOS device, the app wasn’t even formatted to display on my iPhone. It was so zoomed in I couldn’t even see all of what was supposed to be displayed on the screen. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times for it to display properly. I also question the security of the card as there is no chip. Are we not in 2022? In some instances the card is not accepted as there is no name on the card to associate it as mine. Overall the whole system just feels very unreliable and I seriously question its security.

One of my jobs switched are tips from cash to the Instant app. While we were all pretty annoyed at first because cash is just so easy but this meant we got our tip outs faster so that part I like. You can transfer money to your bank account for free but it can take a couple days, so plan it out, or use the debit card it’s self if possible. App is straight forward and simple that not much to get confused about. Honestly the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I use my tip money to pay my bills and it just adds an extra step because I have to wait and transfer to my bank account(because I’m not paying to get my own money, I don’t with my bank so I’m not going to start now) and than than pay my bill. Since mostly all my bills can’t be paid with card online/ auto pay, you have to link an account number. Other than that is is app is easy and gets me my money the next afternoon vs 2 days later. Some people at my job still hate it, but it’s not that bad.
