Overall, I really like this app. My favorite feature is the GymLoad feature (I think that’s what it’s called) that gives you a visual representation of what you’ve worked out that day, over a few days, or the whole week. This feature is super helpful to me as a beginner to help me see if I’m missing any areas, or hitting areas harder than I should be. It also lets me plan as the week goes on by seeing a visual representation of what I’ve done and what I still need to do. I also really enjoy the library of exercises to choose from. Again, this is super helpful to beginners that don’t know where to start because you can choose the area you’d like the hit, select what equipment you own or have access to, and see a huge list of exercises to complete in that category. You can also use the advanced filters to choose targets such as biceps, shoulders, and glutes instead of just searching by arms, legs, or back. There are a couple things that need improvement, such as being able to edit your reps mid-workout. I’ve tried to adjust my reps mid workout a couple times, but there’s no way to change for an individual set if you’re doing a superset or set of multiple, unless I missed it. Recently, I created a workout that was much too difficult, and had to cancel the last set of my superset, and it marked the whole thing as 0 reps, and 0 lbs. i wish there was a way to edit the workout in real-time, so that you can accurately see your results at the end if you have to change anything. But if you do change anything, make sure to change it the first set so it’s accurate the whole way through.
Been using the elite version for some time. As of lately, the app no longer gives you a notification when your rest time is up when I have the screen locked. I have the disable sleep mode set to on and was working before. I haven’t made any changes to my settings. This has been an issue since the last app update. Previously I would click on the Done button for a particular workout, and lock my phone and put it in my pocket while the rest timer would begin counting, once the timer was done it would give me the notification, it no longer does that. I have to keep my phone screen on in order for the timer to give me the notification. Used to be a great app until this issue began.
You do have to pay for the subscription to get a lot out of this app but it’s completely worth it. The exercise bank is extensive and I have been able to find every exercise I do, or something very close to it. It’s surprising how much this app will track for you - calories, time, total weight, and best of all is viewing your workouts at the end of each day or at the end of the week on the chart that shows how well you worked each muscle group. The only complaint I might have is that sometimes the buttons are slow to respond but I don’t care much. This app is a great motivator.
