Kika Keyboard: Custom Themes

Kika keyboard is a great app but sure there are a couple issues like sometimes when I type it doesn’t go through or it AutoCorrects something I don’t want it too but I mean you can’t you can’t expect keyboard app to just make everything perfect if it’s a customized keyboard. To make a keyboard you have to tap on the AI at the bottom and you can make your own keyboard or you can go to the many keyboards they have for you. or you can go to the super theme they have and you can pick out a wallpapers (that’s right wallpapers) that you can put on that match your keyboard. Anything that might make me not like it as much as you have to get coins by watching ads when you get coins, what you have to do with them is you have to buy the keyboard with those coins that you’ve collected. Sometimes when you’re watching an ad to get coins, they will be like a loading symbol that won’t go away what I do it’ll still save your progress, You just have to X out of that ad part and then go back into it. Also to set up your keyboard you have to go into messages and then tap on the little world looking symbol in the left-hand corner tap on it and tap on Kika keyboard and if that doesn’t work, then you have to go to settings and turn on Kika keyboard and your keyboard settings. like the title says, this app has a great selection of themes, fonts, and stickers, but is very tricky to use. the kika keyboards aren’t as sensitive as the normal one, so typing (or sliding) is a lot slower and full of mistakes, and i’ve gotten used to holding the space bar to get to the mistake and fix it, but that doesn’t work with the kika keyboard. additionally, my keyboard settings (such as no autocorrect, no double space->period, no autocapitalization) don’t work with the kika keyboard, either. the other annoying circumstance is the sheer number of ads in the app! every time i click something, i need to watch an ad. i need to watch multiple other ads to get enough coins to download a theme or font or sticker. so it’s like, i click the theme/font/sticker i want, ad. i click “download”, ad. then i need to watch 5 or 6 ads to get the amount of coins necessary to download the theme. then another ad to apply the theme after i’ve downloaded it. like, i get that ads are a big part of how you make money, but too many ads will only drive users away. conclusion: i’ve downloaded two themes, no fonts, and no stickers, and that’s the way it’s going to stay, because i don’t have the patience to sit through ten ads for a keyboard that i will not be using unless i have the time to type slowly enough to not make mistakes and keep my sentences understandable. but i’m not deleting it, because the selection truly is great, and i love the two themes that i did sit through ads for.

So I was looking for more customization on my tablet (new wallpapers٫ keyboards ect.)and so I stumble upon an add for this app and decide "why not download it". And so I created a really nice keyboard that I loved right off the bat. The problem I faced was figuring out how to use the keyboard to actually type. I thought that it was as simple as "turn it on in the settings" and it would do the rest for you. Now this isn't even the biggest issue٫ and the rest aren't even that bad. Anyways٫ to turn it on you still have to turn it on in the settings٫ but you also have to press and hold the circle (thing) at the bottom left corner of the keyboard and then select "❤️Kika keyboard" to turn the keyboard on. Next issue is the backspace key٫ the issue with the backspace key is sometimes you have to press it twice for it to work. Also another thing that slightly bothers me is the point system in the app. You get coins for either watching adds or spinning the daily wheel (unless you get premium)٫ and you need a lot of coins to do everything in this app. You need 150 coins to get emoji packs and fonts٫ 400 to do a custom keyboard٫ and 350 for a theme pack. Now despite these minor flaws I love the customization and everything else about the app (I wish there were more My Hero Academia backgrounds though).
