No complaints but a suggestion

The app works well. Only issue is that it doesn’t work if you’re connected to a VPN but that’s a minor inconvenience. I don’t know if others have suggested this but since the app knows how much fuel is left before empty, how about being able to get notifications when the fuel is getting low? My wife drives the car and doesn’t get a chance to stop and put gas in it, so I end up having to do it. Problem is, she always reminds me about it when there’s nothing I can do about it at that moment. Then I end up forgetting about it and next thing you know, the low fuel light is on. It would be nice if you could receive a notification at some mileage that can be set, like 100 miles before empty, that fuel is getting low. Then repeat the notification like once every 10 miles or something configurable based on a person’s driving patterns. I’m surprised that this isn’t already in the app. Seems like it’s something obvious that should already be there.

OK, but not great

First, the good. You can “start” the car and get it cool or warm remotely. You can check the status of the car, which is nice when a kid leaves the windows or hatch open. You can tell where the car is in a map. You can tell the SoC and update the schedule. Unfortunately, almost none of that is easy to do and it just gets worse from there. The car updates the app horribly slowly. No idea why. It doesn’t matter how strong the cellular connection is, it’s slow. The estimated number of miles doesn’t match the car’s estimate. How is that possible!? But it never does. You can’t change the max charge rate or the max charge % from the app. This is one of the worst omissions of the app. The charging rate doesn’t matter; the car charges so slowly I don’t know why you’d ever want to make it slower anyway, but I’ve wanted to change the max charge % many times. Instead of quickly doing that remotely, I have to go start the car (yes, you have to start it or it won’t save the setting change - a bug that they likely won’t fix), then make the change. And if it’s charging, HAHAHA, you have to unplug it first. Unreal. But that’s not related to the app. Aside from those issues, it’s mostly usable. Extremely annoying, but usable. Here’s another annoyance: if you remotely start the car with the key fob and the doors are unlocked, it locks the doors, starts it and gets the car warm or cool. If you try from the app (with the doors unlocked), it will fail. You have to lock the doors first, then start it. It’s like the developer team(s) who worked on the car and the app had only one goal: make the experience of using the app as frustrating as possible. Success guys, you did it!

Bad after recent update

Writing in July 2024. Recently the app has undergone a major uplift and update. First off, there was nothing to update it was perfect to begin with. A flawless app that worked every single time. The update changed a few super minor cosmetic items but everything pretty much stayed the same. What it has added, unfortunately is a host of bugs and issues that were not there before! There are so many errors and the app is conflicted it loads and reload, it sends you duplicate text messages alerts on when you start or turn off your car. It’s completely buggy it is not as intuitive and simple to use as it was before. Why not roll it back to the way it used to be white mess with something that was nearly perfect and screwed up in the process?! Conducted survey and you will see how many things you got wrong with the recent update. It’s a shame Touch ID settings are messed up. Keeps logging me out and asking for my sign and credentials and fingerprint a bunch of times. Duplicate and even triplicate messages. Tells me I’m out of range or have no Wi-Fi connection or signal when I’m standing in my living room on Wi-Fi. Sometimes it actually starts the car remotely, and after the car has successfully started, still sends you a message that you are out of range with the signal and have bad connection. All of these are bugs that need to be worked out please open your eyes and serve by your customers!
