Car Play Connect, Sync & Care

Between the aesthetics, setup process, and ease of use, overall, my experience with the Car Sync app has been phenomenal! My favorite feature thus far is the all-in-one screen with music, GPS, phone, and weather. Generally, you would have to scroll through a multitude of apps to even use half of these features while driving, mind you. The impressive part of it is that now I have the ability to track my vehicle’s maintenance all in one app. No longer will I have to wait until I physically get into my car to know when it’s time for an oil change or how much gas I have!

The Car Connect app is impressive. It was easy to add my car to the garage, and I appreciate that there is a demo version so users can explore before they decide to add their car. The car status section is helpful, with more cars having a monitor in it with the details such as battery life, oil, and tire pressure; it is nice to have an app that you can get before you leave your home. Settings menu is easy to access, not to many functions to view which is nice because too much information can be overwhelming for a user. The drive mode was the best part, with having all the features such as radio, maps, and phone in one place makes it convenient to do multiple things within one app.

When I initially downloaded it, I couldn’t see much of a difference between this app and the FordPass app I already have. After adding my expedition and playing around for a bit I found some features that aren’t available in FordPass. The driving mode is what I like the most and the feature I found most unique. Specifically the radio. Being from a rural area we don’t have a lot of options when it comes to stations. XM radio is subscription based and honestly not worth it. I explored the stations for about half an hour and I absolutely love this feature.
