iGenogram: Genogram Editor

This app saved me a ton of time. It’s pretty easy to figure out the controls, and if you need some guidance, there are enough instructions on screen to guide you. I don’t know if all of the symbols and characters for genograms are included, but for my project it was sufficient. I do not know where I can adjust fonts and sizes. If there is not an option that would be something to add.

If it wasn’t for our classmate Diaysha Cole we could have not known about this amazing app. As a counseling student I have used this app A TON! It has been very easy to use and super helpful in creating Genogram’s for our patients that we see on a daily basis. Again, this would not be possible without the hard earned work of our classmate D. Cole. Fantastic app.

Very useful app, if you are only going to be doing genograms on your iPad. There is no ability (that I can find) to import genograms into the app. Therefore, if you use a desktop app (I use Genopro) there is no way to exchange information between the platforms. This is limiting. The other, less significant, issue is that there is a lot of tapping one has to do to add people, relationships, etc. Not a huge deal, but I find myself frustrated by the number of steps it takes to get individuals into the diagram and related to others. Some defaults would be a nice feature to cut down on this. That said, if you're only using the iPad for genograms, this is a useful app with great features and a relatively intuitive interface.
