IDrive Photo Backup

As a college student, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with IDrive. It has been a lifesaver for me when it comes to backing up all my important files. I've been using it on my iPhone 14 max pro, the new Motorola flip Razor, and even my iMac with no issues. Sure, the interface could use a little sprucing up, but for the price, it does exactly what I need it to do. Before getting IDrive, I had invested in a 6tb external storage device. Luckily, IDrive was able to back up all my files from that device because it's now unrecoverable. That alone makes me a happy customer. Plus, it's more budget-friendly compared to other backup services I've looked into. Overall, I'd definitely recommend IDrive to any fellow college students looking for a reliable backup solution.

I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have a leave my backup even if I deleted photos on my phone. At least I can’t find that feature. I want to transfer my photos to a secure back up and remove them from my phone. That’s what I didn’t like about google photos.

I transferred 27 thousand photos onto the app over 3 days to swap phones for one with lower memory that could not hold the photos. It is slow uploading and downloading but does work, so I can't complain too much. My photos are all there. The thumbnails are sometimes very slow to load in the app on my new phone. But i am happy with it overall. I wish they would put a "select all" button on the pc app so i would transfer them all to my pc. I want multiple layers of security for my photos that way. But on the pc app you can only download one at a time. It doesn't matter to me if it takes 5 days for my pc to download the 27 thousand photos it would just be nice to do select all and hit download and then leave it alone to work.
