IC Markets Global cTrader

Enjoying the platform, decent spreads, quick executions. CTrader doesn’t seem to want to work on my mobile data even though I’ve configured my settings for it to be able to work on my mobile data, you need to be connected to the wifi for it to work. A common complaint with cTrader but a very good platform all the same. An update on my last review. The spreads are good as well and I’m generally happy with IC Markets, would recommend. I’ll give it 5 stars when CTrader works through mobile data. Thanks.

cTrader software is an amazing bit of kit... probably the most intuitive, efficient and user-friendly platform I have ever used for my trading - and that’s even comparing it to CQG’s top of the range platform which used to cost me close to £800 per month just to use. However this app, well, it’s shockingly bad! Yes it’s okay to keep an eye on positions and close them out, but it’s a real shame to say that that’s about it. It’s super buggy... ie, going from portrait, to landscape (to better view the chart) and then back to portrait again causes the navigation arrows/tab to disappear, and you need to either close the app down to go back or mess around swiping down from the top and back up again a few times to get it up. Moving the charts around is also nightmare, and getting to your open positions from the chart quickly in order to modify them is often difficult. I’d place so many more trades within the app itself whilst I’m out and about and not at home, but it’s just such a poor experience I don’t bother because it’s so frustrating to use. If this app was even 50% as good as CMC’s app is, it’d be sufficient. Not plugging CMC here by the way - I’ve had bad experiences with them, but can not deny their app is incredible. Come on guys, it’s 2020... and that’s directed at Spotware more so than IC Markets to be fair, but yeah, in this day and age, a slick, reliable and full featured app should be standard bits and bobs!!!

The app certainly improves with every update, what I’d like to see in the app and the biggest thing is to have all drawing tools synced from day my web trader on my Mac analysis to my phone so if I open up a chart on my phone all my work is done and i’m purely looking to see where price is and act on it if needed. All the hard work is done on the web trader on my Mac but when i’m our and about it would be good to be able to simple open up a chart and see if price is where you planned it to be. So the sync is the biggest one for me. The other, more customisation, I run black and green candles on the web version, ideally it would be awesome to have the ability to have the exact same set up on mobile. The other would be a simple risk reward marker that can be placed on the charts to plan ahead trades. If you guys could get the sync to work and those other bits, I genuinely think you would have a fantastic platform for any trader, I currently use trading view for these very reasons so i’d love to be able to ditch trading view and focus on my own brokers platform and work from that rather than having to keep switching as we’re not just up to scratch yet.
