HuYu Scan Supermarket Receipts

I generally enjoy this app. I have redeemed x2 £5 vouchers so far. The reason I’m giving this 3 stars, is because the app doesn’t reward you for scanning more than one receipt from the same retailer on the same day, despite the receipts being printed (with dates) on different dates. E.g. I shopped at Coop on 10th December and shopped at Coop again on 11th December. However, because I saved both receipts till a couple of days later to scan on the same day, the app only rewarded me for one receipt… Normally I would be understanding, in that I should scan on the day I got the receipt, but given that the app gives you a grace period of 7 days to scan your receipts, it shouldn’t matter on which of those 7 days I scan the receipts. The app clearly recognises whether a receipt is in date or not, so it should recognise that multiple receipts may have different dates. Please can you sort this out, HuYu. Or better yet, please can you rectify my rewards to reflect the 2 receipts from 2 different dates.

I’ve had this app approximately 9 months and have already earned two lots of £5 rewards. I only have a Tesco near me but the app works at several stores but not M&S. Yes, occasionally a receipt won’t scan but most of them scan ok in a good light. I like the addition of earning extra points to scan barcodes. I was sceptical at first but as soon as I found out how simple it was to redeem points, I must say I’m impressed. I redeemed two Tesco gift cards and was emailed a barcode that I scanned on the self scanner which took £5 off my bill for each one. No problems at all. There are so many dodgy apps out there that promise rewards but don’t deliver. However, this app delivers as promised.

I have to say I was initially quite pleased with the app, when it’s good it’s good and when it’s playing up it’s annoying, but more often than not it’s a pain in the backside due to saying receipt is old when it isn’t I always scan my shopping and the receipt soon as I’m home, or it says the receipt isn’t clear erm yes it is crystal clear. I’ve emailed customer support to be told make sure it’s a dark back ground (yes I do) get back in touch if you still have problems (yes I’ve done that too) it’s suppose to be a quick and easy scan of the receipt and be rewarded points, nope if I contact customer support they want me to email receipts so they can look in to it, I use another receipt app and never had a receipt declined or be such a faff trying to upload.
