Hunch Dating App: Vibe & Meet

While using Hunch, I experienced several things. When using the like or “waves” feature to try and match with other users, I dealt with constant advertisement where the “Hunch+” feature was shown regardless of me previously pressing the X button to get rid of the pop up. It was very annoying however there are other positives to this app, that was really the only negative I had with it. I enjoy that the app asks for price ranges, availability, and various other things as it allows for people to have dates setup for them accordingly based off what they selected during profile creation. It was refreshing to see on a dating app. Although that was refreshing, it feels as if there are several fake profiles within the app as some of them have the same bio on countless profiles making it feel as if they’re drawing in people without actually having authenticity be present. Had it felt like the profiles were more realistic, I would give this five stars, but this is why I am giving it four.

I tried this app because I was sick of all the other same old apps, I really hoped this one would be the game changer, nope. I downloaded the app, created an account just fine and liked that it asked a lot of questions about me to figure out my personality, good start. Then about an hour later the whole app crashed, couldn’t log in for about 12 hours. The crashes still happen but seem a little less frequent. I ended up subscribing to the paid service, I set my max range to 100 miles, but noticed all of the pictures of every single profile had unrecognizable city scapes, foreign signs, lots of Asian girls that were actually in Asia. I seem to be matching with every other state/country except my local area. After a couple days of trying it I did not match with ONE local girl and the only actual girl that I did match with was across the US. This app is a scam, they don’t deliver what they promised, the filters don’t filter and I have a strong suspicion that most if not more of the profiles are fake/AI generated to make it seem there are more than there actually are. I tried contacting customer support through their support chat and was completely ignored. Do not waste your time with this app and definitely do not give them one cent of your hard earned money.

I saw it on tiktok and was interested in finding a potential partner or a friend. What caught my attention was the easy to use platform and the wide variety of users the only bad things in my opinion would be that there aren’t to many free waves per day and the only way to connect with people is through polls maybe if a swipe feature was added like in some other apps used for similar purpose was added it would be better. I feel that it is all fair to have on a premium plan except the see who waved at you and send unlimited waves I think those should be free and maybe lower the price $5-10.
