The game doesn’t work whatsoever. Me and my husband both paid the dollar, downloaded it, tried to play each other and it would NEVER CONNECT. After so much time wasted trying to play each other, I tried to play against the computer and when the game would load or the app wouldn’t crash, the game wouldn’t do anything. You couldn’t move pieces or play. All you can do it anticipate the app crashing.

Sound fox isn’t as catchy as dos version and you can’t change your pieces design

I was thrilled to find this game for the iPhone because I had it way back when it was a DOS game for the PC. It is a very challenging game, kind of a mix of checkers and Othello. This app could use some more development for the iPhone, though. Response is a little sluggish. (OS 4) The controls need to be better. The control is by touching the cell you want to move into, but the cells are too small on the iPhone, so it is very easy to touch the wrong cell by mistake. It would probably work better on the iPad, just because the screen is bigger. The AI is unrelenting on the medium setting, so there is no room for mistake. There are no "extras" on this app. You can't choose which color you want your piece to be. No option to edit the playfield. They don't have the little bumble bee lightbulb graphic that made the original so cute. The sound is very basic. No sound options, not even on / off. These don't matter to the game play, but really, they could have put a little more detail into it. If you want a challenging game that is a mix of checkers and othello and you have small fingers, you'll like this.
