I have used different scanners of the years (Sense, structure Sensor) and also trialed different โbig name appsโ with not much success, until Heges. I started using it a month ago or so and have created dozens of scans. Itโs accuracy for me is key. However, I am also very impressed with Heges, and Mr. Marek Simonik the developer. Let me tell you why: For example, the mere fact that the mirroring connects - and stays connected to another iPhone or pad - the way it does is way superior to the other apps I tried so far. This is very important since itโs just not easy to scan 360ยฐ objects without having a projection of what is being scanned in real time. Second, the vibration mode is an excellent indicator of the scanning process and status. If tracking is lost, itโs easy to know without having to look at the iPhoneโs screen, and saves time. Third, the accuracy and definition of the scans are very high with the Face ID mode and the option to share/save/upload them to a dropbox folder is a very helpful feature. Fourth, the adjustability of the precision and range features enable the user to customize the app for the next scan. Fifth, being able to start or stop a scanning project by using the upper Volume button is really helpful. Finally, the quality of the support and responsiveness from Mr. Simonik are simply incredible. If I could give a 6th star, I would. Thank You.
This app scans quite accurately especially for it being on a cell phone! After reading some reviews I was shocked to see this app was only 2.99 and am sad I missed that opportunity but even at itโs current price it is still worth it one for real night vision and two for the quality of the scans. Some reviews stated the quality is not that great but I think they fail to see how amazing this works on there cellphone itโs not a hundreds of dollars piece of equipment designed for this kind of thing. Iโve never used a professional tool for this but especially for recreational use this is mind blowing and the developer has done there due diligence on explaining how to get the best quality images from It The only thing I am disappointed in is the one star reviews that people have given this because either they have to pay for it or because itโs not supported by there phone - dear developer I applaud your effort to keep this app from being purchased on unsupported devices and Iโm sorry you get poor reviews for actually being a good person. Keep up the great work and amazing customer service. I donโt review things often but your honesty and quality of app and the fact that itโs a one time purchase not a subscription make me feel you deserve every one of the 5 stars and โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ this is 5 more for you and your team if you have one honestly and truly way to go! Edit to ask if you have ever considered or were even able to add on a view finder for Apple Watch I know itโs smaller market but it would be a very beneficial addition
Iโm kind of blown away at how well this scanner works. Itโs not perfect however compared to whatโs been available this is incredible. The biggest issue is not the 3D scanning, its the โWiFi file sharingโ feature. While I suppose this could be useful I really donโt understand why the developer doesnโt let you just share using the expected avenues such as email, iMessage, save to phone or air drop. I donโt even know what it means to wifi share a file is to be honest... Iโm still not sure how to access the scanned data. Iโm guessing file size concerns have something to do with the choice to WiFi share/export your 3D scans, maybe the app isnโt very strong with managing the captured scan data? I think it would be nice to at least have other export options. At very least make it more clear on how you send/receive captured files over WiFi. Also, adding .fbx and .obj as file format options would be fantastic. Right now the .stl files are strictly catering to 3D printing apps. .obj and .fbx would be easier to share with industry standard 3D modeling applications, like C4D, Zbrush, Unity. Still giving it 4 solid stars (assuming I figure out how to accept a shared WiFi file). The quality is really impressive and again, compared to whatโs available, this is amazing. Please polish and continue working out the bugs, this is a really promising app. Finally getting some use out if this iPhone X depth sensor!
