HBO Max FYC

This app will only play in vertical on my iPad. Plus the video won’t go full screen. Oh and the videos cannot be started and stopped without a huge mess that usually means I have to quit the app to even get back to where I was. Only gets 2 stars because… white lotus!

This app is fine when it works, but it signs out frequently and inconsistently. And doesn’t have the option to stay signed in for 90 days like most of the other FYC apps. Not impressed

As a voting member of the TV Academy, I was provided a link to this app, which they say is supposed to work with my AppleTV. It doesn’t. I downloaded it to the gadget and tried to use it. But when I enter my passcode — copied from my Academy member page — I get an error message: “Something went wrong, try again”. So I tried again and again and again over the course of a few weeks. It NEVER works. I tried restarting my AppleTV. I tried restarting my modem. I tried contacting the TV Academy. Nothing I tried worked and I didn’t get any help other than being told the easiest way to view the FYC content was to go to the website, log in there and use my device (an iPad in my case) to mirror the video to my TV via AppleTV. So that’s what I’ve been doing. It works but it sure would’ve been nice to get the AppleTV app they provided to actually work!
