hati Dating App: 5 minute call

The sign up is clunky af. iPhone 17 Pro, scrolling options in the scroll wheel will sometimes count as a selection. And on a multiple choice question pre/ everything was pre selected. Feels very much like it’s still a work in progress.

I heard about this and thought it sounded like a good premise, sadly what is actually is is a waste of time. I went through the quite long winded sign up process, and was 'approved' about 3 weeks ago. I logged in to be shown a page that says 'you've seen all my matches for this week, check back next week for more'. I've sporadically checked back and still get the same notification despite never having seen another profile on the app. Reading the reviews today I see that the app has replied to one person saying 'go live was always set for the 14th February', and then a bit later they reply to someone else saying 'go live is the 14th March'. Whichever it is just let people on the app know what's going on rather than giving a useless notification. Absolutely not going to spam my friends with this app unless it actually starts showing matches. If you want to make this work you need to spend money on advertising like every other business

App not easy to navigate. There are no instructions on how to swipe and app actions as it has not got the usual swiping actions. Realised that by swiping up its like the swiping left on other apps - I was eliminating the profile rather than read more about it and missed out on a few possible matches! And It doesn’t allow to undo the swipe. Also like other reviews here, I also had a call booked with the founder after its launch and I was available at the time of the call and no one turned up and the call was cancelled on the app! What was the point of asking to book these calls?! And they claim if you ghost on the app you will be eliminated! It doesn’t have a navigation that is intuitive and hardly has any profiles. Only 4 in 2 weeks. It’s not clear what the therapy is for and cost in advance. App has the ambition although cannot see how a speed dating type of call is going to make a difference. During Covid other apps like bumble and hinge had a video feature and that was a better way to jump on a call after finding out more about the match - rather than jump on a call without much information or interaction. One would be better going to a speed dating event as not sure what this app is adding to the dating world of apps!
