Glassboxx

Not really thrilled with this app. Only got it for one specific book that I was having trouble finding, even used. When I first purchased the book, had the app downloaded and verified, the books still wasn’t showing up. I was able to get it to show up through contacting CS. I am now having trouble accessing the book again (and this isn’t the first time, but I can’t remember if it ever resolved the last time). I have yet to contact CS again, and while they will hopefully be able to fix the problem I don’t want to be constant emailing or calling CS.

I am eager to support publishing companies directly while purchasing audiobooks, especially over Amazon/Audible, which I also have a subscription. The app is easy to use BUT I need a bookmark feature. I also wish it were possible to see how much time is remaining in the entire audiobook. Currently I can only see time remaining for current track, which is less useful for me. I’ll stick around and hope to see a few more features develop.

Just started using Glassboxx today. It is so beautiful and zen compared to kindle! Font selection, setting selections are intuitive. They even have a font for dyslexics (being one I really appreciate the developers for considering us). If I could wish for one additional feature it would be to allow for pagination via the cursor keys available on an iPad Magic Keyboard. Congrats for an excellent design that is truly user-centered! One aspect of the design that I find a bit distracting is the red reading progress bar at the bottom of the page. It's nice to know how much I've read but the color red is so strongly associated with STOP (at least in the USA) my concentration is broken every time I look at the bottom of the page. Perhaps a more neutral color that even color blind people could see, like a royal blue?
