Pros: cameras are very user friendly, and I like that customer support is accessible; the app itself is also user friendly. Cons: consistent problem with cameras not sending notifications, and, like another reviewer, GIRAFIT directs me to troubleshoot, making me feel as if the problem is *my* problem to fix, after I have tried to and let them know that. I’m told to upload logs, they tell me me the situation is resolved, and- the problem returns. Over and over. Last night after the no notification issue happened yet again, I was told by one of their agents basically they had “done all they could” about this recurrent situation. Now- if you were told that- what, logically, would YOU do next? I’m sorry about that, because I like this company, and their cameras. But what’s the use of a surveillance camera if it refuses to alert you that it has spotted potential danger?
I actually really like this camera, it works well. However, I have 3 dislikes. 1. I don’t like that the recording is not looped. 2. I don’t like that it does not have the option to delete multiple videos at once. I have several recordings that are unnecessary and i have to constantly delete them one at a time. I only want to save what i want not everything. Plus, I don’t want my storage to fill up fast. Then it also takes screenshots in the cloud section even though i have no cloud account for the camera. It should give the option to stop that, since i am using an SD card instead. I did not know it would require you to pay to use the cloud. I don’t know if this is storing these screenshots in the SD card or not but i also have to go and delete these individually. Find something else that’s strange, if i delete the screenshots from cloud, it slay deletes the video from the SD card, that defeats the purpose of having the SD when they shouldn’t be connected. 3. It seems to lag whenever i go to the live section. I have great connection, i know that’s not the issue. Other than that, it seems to work perfectly fine. It’s very clear. I hope it stays working fine with no issues. Hopefully, they will fix these issues.
Most aspect for this app is great but i have some issues i don't like. First off, it looks like you WON'T be capturing video (for notifications) unless you but the Cloud services (even if an SD card is inserted). Secondly, and much worse, once an image is captured, the app will ONLY display it in portrait mode. When turning my phone to view a much larger image, the app just beachballs and never displays the image (it says "establishing secure connection... but will never display the image). For me, this is such a major oversight of the developers, i can only give a reluctant 3 star review.
