FutureMe

(Edit: the app is even worse now, its way slower and the ui is terrible for mobile. Its literally just the website in the app and its not even worth using on mobile anymore.) Honestly Ive been using futureme for years, its been a great way for me to give myself advice from the past and ive used it almost daily. I dont even mind that it costs money now, like $9 a year isnt a huge setback. But honestly since then the updates for the app have just made things worse. I mean half the time I try and change when the letter is delivered to now the app crashes. Also it doesn’t update the dates of the letters automatically anymore so I have to always do that manually. Also the little number animation when you send letters is gone and also when you try and read letters there is less detail. It used to give more details like the word count and letter info but now it just shows “tap to unlock” instead of the letter data. Also I cant go back and see old letters, I mean I can but I can only see about the first 10 results on the mobile app. You can see all of the old letters on the website but it would be nice to see them on the mobile app too instead of the first 10. Either way I do love future me and still continue to use it but it would be way better if it was as good as it was before. I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for these issues

I’ve been using futureme since 2018 and now it’s getting worser and worser, I’ve just updated the app and it’s simple webview without any nativity or features, just a website wrapped into a app, why they did that, why they killed the app? Better just remove from the app store if I want website I will use the website. alright, I decided to write a new letter and WHOA it’s asking for money, alright, after researching and jiggling I was trying to understand how many letters are included into $2 subscription and while searching through the website (oh sorry the freshly updated new app) it’s just wiped my whole letter, it’s not drafted, not saved into cache or cookies it’s just wiped, why was so hard to make that feature BEFORE asking money? I was premium subscriber in the past and truly loved future me, but that was the last drop

this app is literally so sweet, like when I had no friends (late 2023) I would never tell anyone about my hatred for the human race but I would make letters about it and yes I sound like a psychopath but I am <3 now I have 3 real friends that I love to death but guess what, ya girl’s still writing those letters while listening to Laufey and crying because GUESS WHAT AGAIN you get sad sometimes or you get happy and sometimes you don’t wanna yap to your friends all the time so you yap to ur future self :) and I love this app because of the other people’s stories they’re so comforting and they make me cry so get the app and yes I don’t know you but I want you to know I love you (unless I don’t, you know who you are.) and that I understand what you’re going through, if you’re looking for this app you most likely need to rant about some kids or someone ur obsessed with and I’ve been through both pookie it’s normal like omg im so tired of people being like “you’re boy obsessed” GO TELL YOUR HUSBAND TO GET A JOB AND MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T BE SLEEPING IN SEPARATE ROOMS LIKE IM A FREAKING TEENAGE GIRL LEAVE ME ALONE BERTHA (btw can i pleaseeeeee change the date for a letter I made 6 months ago it’s for 2027 and I DONT WANT IT TO BE) love yall have an amazing day you deserve it
